Right , time to kick start this diary.

Many thanks to Seedsman for the opportunity.

You see I picked some winners I think. Nice couple of indica doms and a girl scout crack lol.

You see the packaging is a bit old school , flat paper packets with a baggy inside .

Bit of a soaking for 24 hours till I get a split in the seed then its in to the coco.

large.20180413_183934.jpg

There they were sat till they showed themselves.

large.20180414_120700.jpglarge.20180414_121517.jpglarge.20180414_170335.jpg

As I am extremely height restricted , I will be growing vertically , around a bulb which at moment is a 250w metal halide.

large.20180414_170617.jpg

Within 3 days quite a few of them are up.

large.20180418_111902.jpg

Blueberry was first , almost the next day one was up.

large.20180418_111913.jpg

Then Candy Cream , not far behind, movement on all three.

large.20180418_111924.jpg

And girl scout crack , looking like 2 so far.

large.20180418_111935.jpglarge.20180418_162405.jpg

I added a fan to give a bit of air movement in general. On for half hour off for half hour.

large.20180418_162339.jpglarge.20180418_162342.jpglarge.20180418_162410.jpg

So after around a week we had our seedlings and our no shows.

large.20180419_122118.jpg

Being as I can only flower 1 of each of the strains , one plant will do.

I will normally weed out the weaker ones till only the strongest of each remain.

large.20180419_122148.jpg

Lots of sideways growth in vertical growing and you see the wires I will use to train the plants to the wall with.

large.20180419_123000.jpglarge.20180420_170501.jpg

They are very near to the bulb as most of the heat goes up and out and not towards the little plants.

large.20180421_091755.jpg

So I potted up into 1 l pots to try and bury the stems a bit.

I ended up with 2 Girl scout cracks , 2 Blueberries and 3 Candy Creams.

large.20180428_101126.jpg

One of the Blueberries is looking nice and short already.

large.20180428_101843.jpg

Candy Creams all pretty much uniform at the moment.

large.20180428_101908.jpglarge.20180428_101930.jpg

Same with the Girl Scout Crack, pretty similar.

large.20180428_101936.jpg

Just wanna see their veg potential now. I'm looking for the strongest of each and the ones with short indica appearances are a winner for my low headroom.

large.20180428_102324.jpg

That's where they are residing for the next week , next to the metal halide.

large.20180428_103009.jpg

Loving the new genetics in this new room.

These three will definitely be flowered in around 14 weeks I expect , so I have to use every bit of space I have to fill it with vegging plants of which there will be 9 , possibly 12.

Over and out for another week but the shells are open and the leaves are up.

Cheers my friend , most welcome.

I have thinned out the pack as you can see and have chosen the shortest strongest looking of each .

I know its early days but anything indica looking and its a winner.

large.20180505_133549.jpglarge.20180505_133541.jpg

There they are on the left , still kicking it next to the 250w mh. Just started putting out a few more leaves now and I think will start to grow a bit quicker now.

large.20180505_133508.jpg

Let the fun begin.

In 3 or 4 weeks I will swap the 250 for a 400 and veg em for 3 months.

I expect some indica goodness.

Another 7 days , still alive and kicking. Blueberry is the fastest .

large.20180512_124342.jpg

Girl Scout Crack.

large.20180512_124348.jpg

Candy Cream

large.20180512_124353.jpg

Blueberry

large.20180512_124357.jpg

They are loving life , they have enough leaves to start to grow quick now , especially that Blueberry.

large.20180512_124405.jpg

This is probably the place where they will be flowered. I'm not yet sure in what order , depending on how big they get. But I'm hoping for Indica qualities.

large.20180512_124510.jpg

That was from 2 days ago and then I switched off the 250 and turned on the main 400w hps vegging light. That is gonna be my main vegging tool , while temps are nice and cool. I still don't have the right fan and no filter in this room yet.

Ive  only got a 6 inch on full pelt and cant get the big fan and filter from the garage till that crop is dried.

Anyway I think 7 days of the 400 and the growth will be considerable next week.

Over and out

Do you use any preventative for pests? besides those yellow strips? It seems to have some kind of bug, more visible in the blueberry .. :g:

Yes well spotted, golden pointed out I might have thrips. That's why I bought the yellow things to see if I can find evidence of them . I spent around an hour with a junior microscope and eventually found 1 little maggot looking thing. So ive been spraying with some neem and I don't think its getting any worse. At thought I just thought they were water splashes as ive got nothing visible yet.

Touch wood I get rid of em early.

If they are thrips, they are usually seen running in the veins of the leaves.. if are maggot they make tunnels i think, although I have never had, so I could not advise you on this, with the neem oil I think it may be enough. But you need to eradicate completely, I would recommend cleaning the room completely with bleach, and then sprinkling the entire room with neem ... if a plague becomes strong it is more difficult to eradicate. Wishing the best!!

Also can use a cotton (type facial cleaning) moistened with neem water to rub the leaves, the bugs adhere easily...

righto 7 days later and they have had several sprays and been potted up.

I think I caught the thrips very early as I couldn't hardly find any live magotty things to start with and now there is nothing alive on anything.

I spray with neem and a spidermite solution every time I go in there now.

The Candy cream is growing ok, average speed I guess.

large.20180519_141906.jpg

The Blueberry is fast and growing the strongest of the three.

large.20180519_141910.jpg

Girl Scout Cookie on the end again not as fast as the Blueberry .

large.20180519_141940.jpg

They are loving the 400hps light and ive just rigged up the auto feeding for once a day so I'm sure they will start to get big now.

large.20180519_142028.jpg

Temps have been 25 ish there or there abouts lights on, 22 ish lights off.

Good healthy plants so far.

The other room is flowering now so ive 10 weeks and a few to dry the bud before these babys can be flowered .

12 weeks of vegging next to a 400 .

Lets see how bushy they are.

till next week

Oi oi

So here they were last week.

large.20180519_141940.jpg

7 days later and we have a nice bit of growth there.

All three are as healthy as F.

large.20180526_141351.jpg

Candy Cream

large.20180526_141308.jpg

Medium speed growth

large.20180526_141311.jpg

The Blueberry is still growing at a faster rate. Getting quite big she is.

One more week and I will pot all three up.

large.20180526_141322.jpglarge.20180526_141327.jpg

The Blueberry was just begging to be pinched out .

In fact I pinched the three of them out at the top.

large.20180526_141332.jpg

The Girl Scout Crack , Starting to chuck some fat leaves out.

large.20180526_141342.jpglarge.20180526_141345.jpg

The picture of health. I'm thinking of switching the Blueberry into the corner as she is quicker and bigger she can fill the corner spot and grow up the slanty wall .

large.20180526_141355.jpg

Over and out for another week.

Cheers my friend, bloody pleasure to work with such healthy genetics.

Very vigorous plants indeed.

These are 7 days later from the last update. Just after the last update as a test , rather than topping I pinched out the tip of each of these to see how they would respond. In this vertical system I want multi tipped bushy plants , which quite often , you get lighting from the side.

I moved the Blueberry into the left corner as I feel she looks the most indica so far. Then Candy Cream in the middle and the one I think is gonna be the biggest , stetchy plant so far is Girl Scout Crack .

Healthy as , fed 3 times a day . About 9 weeks of veg to go ho ho .

large.20180602_130428.jpg

Some of the Candy Cream. The front

large.20180602_113424.jpg

I will turn the plant now and again befor they are tied down in their final pots and chop out anything at the back.

If it isn't big enough to be at the front of the plant in the light then it comes off.

large.20180602_113433.jpglarge.20180602_113437.jpglarge.20180602_113539.jpg

Responded perfectly to the pinching out and immediately gave me new growing tips.

Also they all healed themselves within a day or 2 . extremely quick recovery.

large.20180602_113543.jpg

The GSC probably responded the best to the pinching and the more I see her grow the more I think she is gonna be the leggiest of the three.

large.20180602_113553.jpglarge.20180602_113556.jpg

She gives out new shoots from the top to the bottom.

large.20180602_113609.jpg

Very much indica looking still here but I think in the next update you will see that she is maturing and changing from the squat appearance .

She may be a big girl like Green Crack.

large.20180602_113613.jpg

Finally Blueberry which is so far my best grower.

Very very strong indica looking , fat stems and pure power growing.

large.20180602_113713.jpg

But she is still happy to give me new shoots from just one pinching. I doubt she will stretch much either come flowering.

She is going in the corner where I will fix her main stem to the back wall and let her grow up the angles ceiling, hopefully bushing out towards the light.

large.20180602_113729.jpg

I can see something has had a munch at one of her leaves a moth I think. Touch wood ive nothing alive in this room now pest wise.

I think them things I had could have been fungas gnats maybe as they seemed to be coming from the coco .

Ive sprayed this room loads now with neem and general bug spray and she is clean.

large.20180602_113740.jpg

Heres how I left them the weekend.

Only a few days and ill do the next update. They are growing lovely as always.

Oh I potted them up into 6.5s now as well so will expect to see a growth spurt.

large.20180602_130423.jpg

At last this room ha snow the final piece in place.

This 6 inch ruck was what I was using since this room was built.

She was only meant to be temporary and I didn't have a filter for her either.

large.20180604_132104.jpg

I had run the ducting already , waiting for my 8 inch fan and filter to be done with in my garage.

I had the 6 inch just basically hanging in front of this ducting doing a basic job and on the few hot days we have had I struggled badly with temps , losing the odd seedling.

large.20180604_132047.jpg

Now Ole Zz is cooking with gas as this big boy spins at mostly half speed.

I have much more airflow for the plants now and feel much happier with the warm months approaching.

I'm gonna be vegging this room right through june and july , flipping to flower the first week of august so I'm expecting a challenge .

large.20180604_175430.jpg

Over and out for a few days

Another weeks progress .
