The Devil's Arse Welcomes Dinafem Critical+2.0

217 posts in this topic

Update continued:

The plants are still on three feed / flood cycles in the 12 hour lights on period, I think I will just leave it at three feeds because they look happy enough and it is always a good sign when you check the reservoir every other day and it's dropping down a lot, thirsty plants and they seem very happy around 1.4 -1.6 EC ( goldilocks zone) .

Last weekend I refreshed the reservoir with 170 litres of water and added the following nutrients / strengths :

Growers Ark Bloom 2.7 ml / L

Growers Ark Universal Traces 2.3 ml / L

Growers Ark Root Tonic 2.0 ml / L

The above showed 1.6 E.C and settled down at PH 6.1.

The nutrient temps are between 19-21c.

I do have some Growers Ark Boost but it's too early I think to introduce this to the feed, (not sure if I will bother using a boost).

We will see how the plants look in the next week or so.

Tent temps have been moving about abit with the weather 21c -29c ( including lights off period).

R.H showed min 46 & max 53

This really is a hardy strain and not too fussy, I hope I can keep them looking healthy :) .

My three lights are a good 20 inch away from the tops of the plants.

Below is some canopy photos:

When I get some more spare time soon I will be getting my yo-yo hangers and ball of string + garden wire to secure each plant arm to the tent roof poles.

I will tie up / secure one plant at a time in its space and that way get as many arms into the light to try and fill the gaps.

Thats about it for now in the sugar shack ...

Personally I would keep the feed regime right where it is now mate :yep:

The plants all look very health,  zero signs of any deficiency or over feeding and take a look at those buds they are perfect  ;)

Stacking on some serious weight and trichome production is going crazy  ;)

Don't change a thing my friend and ride it out until harvest. The only issue which you are controlling well will be the temps. So far yours are still within the perfect range :yep:

Until the next update. Keep up the great work!

All the best

Thanks :) ,  I have been busy the last few nights putting loads of yoyo hangers and string to secure all the plant arms.

I was surprised to see how much they are developing, absolutely packing it on, stonkers mate.

I will get some more photos tonight and update :) .

You've done the right thing brother. Those buds are going to get top heavy so best to be pro active and get those stems some support  ;)

Going to be fun watching these beauties finish ;)

Update:

Over the last few nights I have been really busy securing all the plant arms / buds with yoyo hangers, when I ran out of the yoyo hangers I resorted to string and thick garden wire which works fine.

What a task it was but I got it all done in the end folks and I came out stinking of lovely Critical + 2.0 :stoned:.

I am just trying to support as many arms and big colas to stop them collapsing all over the place from the weight they are gaining.

I did a 80L top up in the reservoir last night with the following nutrient strengths :

Growers Ark Bloom 2.7ml / L

Growers Ark Universal Traces 2.3ml / L

Root Tonic 3.0 ml / L  ( I usually use this right the way through but lower the dosage towards the end of bloom)

The above mix setteled in my reservoir and gave me an EC reading of 1.6 and PH of 6.0

(I like to let the ph rise naturally in my reservoir and then I adjust it after a few days with a top up or a complete refresh once a week.)

Nutrient temps showed between 19c-21c

My tent has been getting hot and showed temps from 21c - 30c ( this is again lights off and on )

I do have the option if it does get too hot to turn my lights down to 400watts with the digital ballasts, to see if it helps reduce the heat.

RH reading showed 45 & 54

Last night I took some more photos of the plants at exactly 31 days into bloom or 4 & 1/2 weeks.

I think they are flying and it was definitely a good job I got the plant arms secured.

Your looking in great shape brother  ;)

4.5 weeks into bloom, the buds are exploding and trichome coverage is impressive  :)

Critical+2.0 is typically finished in 56-60 days so your just past the halfway stage and looking phenomenal  :)

Thank you as always for finding the time to update your diary and for the added pictures very much appreciated!

Until next time :bong:

Thanks mate,

Aye for four and half weeks in, the bud development & sugar coating is insane.

Its a good job I snook in and secured all the arms up with yoyo hangers.

Today is exactly five weeks bloom :) and I had a peek in the viewing window earlier and what a spectacular sight it was, lovely big colas glistening away :smokin:

I will take some more photos tonight and then get them in my diary (Friday) so we can see her power at five weeks :) .

Lovely strain to grow this especially for unpredictable conditions because of the weather, nothing seems to bother it too much.

Is this similar to the Bilbao cut ?

This is the Bilbao cut mate in feminized seed form  ;)

We used that specific cut/pheno to create critical+2.0 :yep:

Maybe after this grow you could try quick critical+? I'm only a pm away my friend  :headbang:
