Auto flower strength and flavour

hiI tried autoflowers when I lived in Spain probably around 2010 i tried a few varieties some where better than others but i found that they have something missing I’m not sure if it’s the strength alone or a common taste that a few of the autos had, my question is are they far better now days ?

im reading on this forum the results that people are getting from autos and I’m wondering if I have bin missing something lol.

Autos have changed dramatically over the last few years. I'm sure there's plenty of growers that will say that the current strains of Auto can taste and be as strong as the regular counterparts.

@autodog recently compared Dutch Passion's 'Night Queen' and 'Auto Night Queen' and found them to be very much the same. I love Auto Night Queen, it's the strongest week I've ever had, and tastes / smells so delicious.

Have a chat with @blackpoolbouncer, and he will tell you the same.

As for yield, again, the days of 1-3 ounces are long gone..... it's possible for a total novice to pull 500g from a single Auto, I was that newbie.

Look around and you will see plenty of growers here doing the same, so good luck Bro, give it a go.

I had the same question when i first joined uk420. After reading pretty much every diary i could find the only downside i can see to autos nowadays is not being able to take cuttings.

But you never know one day someone might find a way to make an auto mother lollol

Swamps tried out some tissue culture with autos but think he had hygiene issues with it. Still worth a read

Eta unfortunately looks like all the pics have been deleted.

I've just grow out Dr Krippling's Krippleberry, very strong Berry taste and smell, mongy as feck, yield was crap though, big plants but light fluffy bud. Probably about an Oz a plant.

Also had a Kalasnikov Moscow Blueberry freebie seed, again nice smoke but crap yield, although if you were growing in a PC case it would have fitted nicely!

Autos are a tougher plant to grow.....any errors you make(especially early in the plants life) will be reflected in the end yield result. Grow them properly on the other hand and results can be staggering!! Taste, smell, and potency of top autos of today can stand up again any photo strain.

Quality...shit yeah!! Mephisto Toofless Alien

@JamJar - Hey....I know a few guys that have had success in cloning autos...puling up to an ounce a clone. The clones virtually get caught in a stasis until they root, and then they continue at the maturity when they were cut....kind of neat stuff for sure.
