My parents replaced loads of their household lights for led and have been replacing them taglag (without 2000w in the loft!)

I got them to spend on osram bulbs and theyve been fine since...

Cool story eh lol

It’s his house bulbs, I’m a sparky and I’ve seen this problem loads of times. It’s cheap crap bulbs imported and they don’t like our frequency and voltage despite what they say on the box so they keep blowing. Unless your getting surges from your supplier it’s the only logical explanation. If it’s specifically downlights blowing, in which case it could be a problem expelling heat. But most likely it’s a case of B&Q strike again

yeh think everyone is right saying about the cheap bulbs, not had one blow since i made this post but i'm sure it will happen again. no more cheap bubs from now on. cheers boys
