Downloading games onto PS4

Why do they take so fucking long? I have a really fast net connection, and everything says it`s running fine on the console, but games and updates are taking hours and hours to download, any one experience this?

If it's a brand new game/beta then sometimes it can take a while. Do you have your PS4 hardwired with ether lead or run wifi connection? I hardwire and have forwarded the ports to PSN on my router, seems to help. :)

Sometimes it says 99 hours to go lol

@ratdog update bandwidth(lack of) is shared between users so if alot of people are updating(which is usually the case) its slow thats why mate

console days are done for me after re-discovering how awesome pc gaming is lol

e2a:use lan cable its much more stable and suited for gaming, wifi isnt really suitable for high demand things like that if you want best results

If it's any help, I use 10 metre ether leads, they're 3 quid each  on that auction site. :)

A restart usually fixes this problem for me, although theres a big sale on the PlayStation store atm, so the servers are probably getting hammered.

Yup... hardwired is always far better than wifi...

I discovered this by comparing two skype job interviews - wifi was a joke, sadly me being the weird pixelated, constantly dropping out and five second out of sync, punchline!

Worst download times I ever had was with GT 6 on ps3... that took several days!
