mixing auto's and photo's in rdwc??

Hi there fellow agronomists !

I'm a new convert to DWC and i'm amazed at its explosive growth once dialed in. I have a single bucket with a freebie Peyote Cookies to "test the water" so to speak. 250w MH which will be changed for 400w MH further on and then flower with 600w HPS.

What I want to know is if I add another bucket and a res to make it rdwc, can I grow another freebie (an auto) in one bucket and my PC in the other. Will the auto grow on the veg nutes and under the MH? Or.. would I need a dual spectrum lamp and maybe a nute mix?
Or would it not work at all?

Reason i'm asking is I want to grow the PC out as much as i can to see how much I can pull off it but still want a bit of home grown for xmas.
Want to go the route of rdwc if possible for ease of maintenance and could add a chiller as i've been struggling with ice bottles in my bucket lol.

Thanks for any input. M.G. ;)

Thanks zero for quick reply.

Will they still be happy to feed of the Veg nutes and MH i'm giving the Peyote Cookies? Even when the auto starts to flower?

yeah , in my experience auto's dont seem to need as much or any bloom nutes , but you could put a little in the mix (half strength ) it wont hurt the photo ... or not , the auto will be fine on veg nutes all the way imo
