Feeding Exhuast back into inlet CO2 bag?

Hi There,

Been studying how to do an indoor grow for ages saved up a bit of cash and have decided to go for it. So first grow is about to start Bubble Kush Auto seeds arriving tomorrow. So first thing first the room specs.

DR60 Secret Jardin tent (small i know but its the only space i got)

1 x P150 PLATINUM LED

2X 2FT Full spectrum fluoros attached vertically in rear corners facing it

1x 4 inch fan and carbon filter with ducting pulling hot air out.

1x six-inch desk top fan for air movement in tent.

1 x exhale co2 bag (i know its not necessary but inquisitiveness got the better of me)

Will be growing in soil - start with bio-bizz light with added ecothrive charge , nutrients will be bio grow , bloom etc.

Been running tent for 2 days now empty to get the environment right

Temps range from 20 - 28 degrees ( high temp is with all lights on and in bloom mode) i think the fluoros are a bit overkill but potentially good for vegging turn them off when switch to bloom.

have extraction fan come on for 15 minutes every 15 so could even run it constantly to get temp down. humidity is averaging 56%

Any way question with the C02 BAG instead of the exhaust just dumping the warm air out side wasting the co2 was thinking can i recycyle the exhuast back into the inlet thus sealing the room kinda, maybe even put another 4-inch fan on the inlet to move air abit quicker thus cooling it ? DO you think this is the right thing to do to use as much of that c02 as possible ?

Taking the air out and putting it back in? It will just get hotter and hotter.

As a new grower a bit of advice is to keep it as simple as possible. Extraction on constantly so that you get an even temperature, no smell leaks and max the natural CO2 in the air. Forget the exhale bag, getting the grow right will add more bud than a tiny bit extra CO2 every other 15 mins. Learn to grow before tinkering, unless you have a base line to work from how do you know what you are doing is working? And you can't really measure temperatures reliably in a dry room, humidity from plants and pots increases heat removal. Good luck with it :yep:

No,keep it simple and run your fan 24/7,chuck yer co2 bag in for flowering if you have it but the main thing for growing is to have a good throughput of fresh cool air.

what you are suggesting will push the humidity and temps too high.

Enjoy your growing ,

Bad idea don't recirculate the spent air also those bags are a waste of money you and your chick zipped in the tent having a chat would do better!! Be careful in flower having those bags close to plants unless you want leafy bud especially if it's really close to plants.

Thanks guys.

@stu924 yeah over excitement is defos a symptom at the moment. yeah ok will keep the c02 bag for flowering.

You could just put the tent in your bedroom and it will get some of the CO2 that you breathe out during the night whilst you are asleep.

Don't worry mate after a few months you will have a cupboard full of 'useless' kit which seemed a good idea at the time.........

As @@distracted says, get the grow right and you will reap the rewards, keep it as simple as you can and remember environment is key......nothing works if that isn't right

Good luck bud

Here ya go.

Flowering Stage

Almost all growers seems to agree that you can get increased growth and bud production by running CO2 during the first 2-3 weeks of flowering.

After flowering is fully underway, some growers believe that CO2 is less effective, and it’s true that so far no one has been able to prove that CO2 can directly improve bud production beyond the first few weeks of the flowering stage.

However, a lot of growers feel from personal experience that running CO2 does increase bud production. Some growers recommend that you keep running CO2 all the way until 2 weeks before harvest..

When growing marijuana, turn off CO2 enrichment at night, marijuana plants don't use CO2 after lights outPlants actually stop "breathing in" CO2 at night, so you can turn off your CO2 enrichment system when the lights go out!

Save money by having your CO2 enrichment turn on a half hour after your lights do, and turn off a half hour before your lights turn off.

In other words, have your CO2 off for about an hour longer than your dark period.

This will save you many hour’s worth of CO2 injection each day and in tests has proven this will not affect the CO2 effectiveness.

Put that last bit because noticed a considerable stretch on two strains at lights out but that was at much higher PPM's than a bag will dose.
