Dinafem Cheese, OG Kush, Blue Cheese & PAK

Thanks for your kind, positive words mate! I will definitely be back in the spring with a new diary, in the comp section... but in the mean time, I still have the late plant out OG Kush & Cheese to come in yet. I'm thinking I will cut them down some time next week as prolonging it any further would surely be suicide, I mean it will be pushing mid November by then anyway... I did however harvest a few tops off the late plant out Cheese as there was a bit of mould forming, but I guess that is inevitable come November, in the UK, and the late plant out spot doesn't really get enough direct sunlight, maybe from 10am - 4pm... but on the whole, all of the Dinafem plants have shown excellent mould resistance! Definitely a 10/10. I'll just make sure I get my photoperiods out nice and early next year so they finish a few weeks earlier, hopefully. That means NO late plant outs!

I'll get some more pics up in the coming days of the late plant out OG & Cheese once harvested and some dried bud shots of the others. That big Dinafem Cheese is getting better and better with every passing day in the jars... it's all I'm smoking at the moment because the high is just perfect, and the taste. Very fruiting tasting, but I notice it has actually developed a typical UK 'Cheese' smell in the jars over the past week, just not quite as pronounced as UK Cheese. And I cant wait to smoke the OG Kush! I definitely recommend the OG and would grow it again, but because of the delayed onset flowering, I might opt for a Big Kush, Critical Kush or Kush N Cheese next year... something crossed with OG Kush that might instigate earlier flowering...

All the best mate.

I finally got around to harvesting the late plant out OG Kush and Cheese today (11th Nov). Pics will be going up in the next 48 hours along with some close up shots of the dried OG Kush buds that were chopped 9 days ago. I must say these late plant outs that I have literally just harvested look and smell entirely different to the early plant outs so there are clearly different phenotypes here at play... for one, these late plant outs have remained completely green in colour (albeit some yellowing leaves from lack of nitrogen) whereas the early plant out Cheese & OG Kush turned very purple/red in colour in the last few weeks. I also notice a strong minty floral smell coming from the OG Kush and a very strong Cheesy, hashy, earthy smell coming from the Cheese which seems more akin to the UK Cheese version than the other Dinafem one that I harvested 2 weeks ago... so both of these plants are totally different phenotypes, but at the end of the day they still look and smell banging! And most importantly they are mould resistant!

I probably should have chopped the late plant outs a few days ago, or a week ago even, but I had other stuff going on and didn't have the time to get out to them. Anyway, if I am going to be honest... I totally underestimated Dinafem... because I turned up to the plot this afternoon expecting to find a pile of mush or at least quite a bit of bud rot on them, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the buds were in just as good condition as they were 9 days ago when I last visited. In fact they had continued to mature and pack on both more weight and more crystals which I was very happy to see. What's more is that on both plants, the total amount of mould would have equated to less than <5% overall, in fact it was probably more like 1-2% tops, which is nothing short of exceptional considering I have stretched these until mid November pretty much, OUTDOORS IN THE UK! It has certainly been a cracking season weather-wise though, but I also have to take my hat off to the Dinafem team and their genetics which just seem to be resilient as fuck against mould.

Pics will be up in the next 48 hours!

Will look forward to a picture update mate. For a late plant out and late harvest you sound to have done very well :) The longest I've ever taken a strain was November the 5th aka bonfire night. I always have 1 critical+ behind the old lady's shed and it comes down every years on the 5th. You sound to have a great few location as you do not seam to have been hit by any mold or rot issues? Oh just read that you've only lost 2-5% total to the dreaded mold which is great :)

This has been a very strange outdoor season but you sound to have done very well and our genetics look to have held up very well :)

Will look forward to the shots mate :)

Until then :oldtoker:

All the best

Early veg (OG Kush on the right, Cheese on the left and a Dinachem cross in the centre rear)... had a few ph problems early on but all that was soon resolved, evidently...

Dinafem OG Kush

Germinated - April 1st

Harvested - November 2nd

Yield - 6/10 - Wasn't a big yielder but that was likely down to some ph issues I had in early veg that slowed them down.

Smell - 9/10 - Diesel/petrol and lemons

Taste - 7/10 - kind of hashy, but you can taste the lemon still

Potency - 9/10 - only tried a little before the cure and it's a very heavy hitting Indica, makes you want to do fuck all but sit down, watch a film and eat pizza

Mould - Literally none at all, 2 specs that I can remember that constituted about 1-2% of total mass affected most probably.

Grow again? - Definitely, but I would love to see Dinafem do a FV OG Kush by crossing their autoflowering version with the photo version so it a bit finishes earlier. I would be all over that.

If these plants were started in April, I am confident they would have been as big, if not bigger, than pinnochios nose!

Dr Nick I hope your aware that Herbies.....................

http://www.herbiesheadshop.com/secret-valley-purple-pineberry-seeds-2514

And four other seed banks to my knowledge are using your pic of the late planted "Blue cheese" and mis-labelling it as Purple pineberry, one of the seedbanks has had the pic since 2013 which is 3 years since you grew this plant, explain please????
