Could this solve my exhaust/ventilation problems?

24 posts in this topic

Bottom left in this picture linked, on the outside of the property, looks like some kind of vent, I don't know what it is and whether I can make use of it by drilling a 5" hole from the inside to meet it, then tucking the exhaust through the hole in the wall from the inside of the property so that the end of the exhaust is nestled right up against the inside of the vent. Is this plan possible with this vent looking cover?

Please advise

@@Inspiration101 & @@noddy Well then, that's me fooked! This is now looking like a no grow. With only 2 windows in the property and both facing the street where people walk by often this is now looking like a no grow :(

The only thing I can do is exhaust indoors into the next room, using that vent as an intake. 2 problems with this though, 1 - that vent is right next to a drain and overflow pipe which doesn't matter when you're exhausting but using it as the intake I'm going to be sucking shitty air (literally) into the tent. & 2 - venting into the room next door is going to bring along with it the humidity, damp and mold problems, and I like my living room the way it is :(

This is turning into a nightmare.

You could get a dehumidifier and put it at the end of your extraction. I do this and it collects a lot of water. What about venting into the bathroom?

I think just one grow with a lower powered bulb to get you started and you can iron out the creases as you gain experience. I alternate between venting into the bathroom in winter and drawing in from the bathroom in summer. This is my first grow with a dehumidifier, before I just vented down the hallway and made sure the doors were open and windows on safety.

@@mrmashup intake via the vent and run it through a Phresh inline carbon filter or have a filter inside the tent for this air.

Vent out into your house. I don't worry too much about the humidity, I vent my flower tent and veg room into my bedroom and its not caused a problem in the last 10 months or so, I just keep my widow open.

Hi mate, can you stop posting offsite hosted images? I did ask you about 20 mins ago too lol

Its not ideal for a variety of security reasons. If you need help in uploading to UK420, just ask, or read in the help and support section how to do it.

You can find instructions here http://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?showtopic=332548

Just vent into the house problem solved, don't see why this is an issue.

Have both windows open and you'll be fine.

@@ELO I can't have both windows open, except for when I'm there, but i can put them both on the safety latch when i'm away, which is like a 5mm crack on each that air can move through. Would this be sufficient?

The grow is a 75 x 75 x 200, 250W HPS if that helps.

"This is turning into a nightmare."

Ffs get a grip ,it doesn't have to be perfect.Get it half right and you'll get some weed that'll be the equal of anything you buy in Amsterdam.

I vent my grobe into my bathroom. The rh in my flower grobe is lower than in my house.

Just for balance in yorkshire -laid in your pit wondering if your homes about to be flooded as the river creeps ever upward and the rain doth not abate. Could be said to be turning into a nightmare. Hth

@@MK11 You make a good point, perhaps I was exaggerating if everything is taken literally. It was just a figure of speech aimed at translating my current frustration on trying to get this sorted, but screw this, the kit is getting bought tomorrow and i'll suss the rest as I go.

@@Devcal, Would a phresh filter replace the need for a Rhino filter? Or would i need both?
