Still in the climbing zone..Valley uprising. Back to Yosemite valley and el capitan this time shows the free spirit of the climbers during the 60s and 70s, using psychodelics to climb, drink and smoke pot all day, and how this went against the so called climing ethics by former trailblaizers..Another brilliant watch..10/10

Just watched Hereditary. It got some rave reviews, but I'm afraid I wasn't that keen on it. Wasn't shit or anything, but I was kinda expecting more and thought it was a bit "Meh.". Thought the first half was good, creepy atmosphere very effectively created, and I like the idea of the story itself (can't really expand on that without being a total spoiler, but I think the overall story idea was a decent one), just that for me the final third wasn't very well done, kinda overplayed the 'weird' card. Still, I'm glad that the horror genre seems to be moving away from the torture porn fad, cos that's really not my kind of horror at all. Looking forward to seeing Jordan Peele's new film, Us, I thought Get Out was superb :)

A cure for wellness. Watched on netflix last night. I give it a 7.5/10. Very thought provoking, great cinematography and atmosphere. Some plot holes but all around an enjoyable thriller/horror film

Romanzo Criminale. Based on the true story of the Banda Della Magliana, who emerged out of the slums of Rome after kidnapping a Baron and took over the city using the 2 billion Lira ransom money to invest in monopolising the drugs trade. They were involved in the Bologna train bombing, the Masonic lodge P2, hung the Vatican banker from black friars bridge and kidnapped and executed Vatican family members to force them to pay their debts to the gang.

One of their leaders, De Pedis, was later buried in one of the holiest Christian burial sites in Christendom. The remnants of the gang later essentially became part of the state apparatus and now control Rome through coopting the state. Incredible story yet very little is known about them outside Italy due to the books and documentaries on them not being translated.

Here is the trailer which does it zero justice:

There is a Romanzo criminali series, been out for a few years now, it's only 2 seasons and it's excellent.

I couldn't understand why it had been rated so highly, I never got through it either.

Just finished watching it. I agree, anti-climactic, and I had been looking forward to it since they announced the movie.

Bruce's performance was flat.

Samuel's was meh.

If it wasn't for McAvoy I would have turned it off half way through.

Poorly written to be fair to them, it could have been so much more.

6/10 for me - and that's just because i'm a fan.

I watched that 'cell' a few nights ago. The film where the poulation becomes affected by phones. Utter trash, 1/10. Samuel L Jackson and John Cusack must have just done that Movie for a joke.

Got absoutely fuck all on either of 'the crazies'.
