@@Dodgee crack open a can stick it in the biggest hole you can find (on a chicken :yep:) and the beer steam infuses the meat, makes it taste banging..

you can do it without beer and just use a tin can and water/stock - fill it with onions, carrots, herbs etc

I just roasted it in the end, you lot made me lose my fucking nerve with your nay saying. I did a load of garden herbs in butter and stuffed it with butter and lemon wedges, orange wedges and sage.

I forgot the old upside down one. I used to do that, its a good idea.

Another good idea is to slash the thighs and rub salt and pepper into the slashes.

Beer can chicken is rank. Why would you want to subject yourself to it? All I could taste was the aluminium. and what about the paint off the label too. Stay well clear
