A little help please

Well i went to visit the girls last night. My grow partner had assured me all was well so I went expecting to take a few pics ready to update some diaries.

When I got there usual stuff I asked "everything ok?"

"Yes" he said "a bit of yellowing in the flower tent if you wanna sort that"

Ok cool I think easy visit...

So I had a potter in the flower tent removed some dead leaves, checked temps all the usual shit.. Next I think ok let's take some pics of the stuff in veg.

So I open up the tent.... Fucking carnage!!!!

sick

sick

sick

sick

Every plant in there looked pretty much like the one above!!! Wtf?

What's happened? I ask him..

After some evasion he finally confessed that they'd had a drought when he forgot to water and they all "drooped" some time late last week...

I checked the pots and they were very heavy/wet. Temps are perfect 23/26c. Feed is 1/2ml grow nutes per litre of water.

Thing is it seems to me like a huge about of damage for 1 dry period?????

Can anybody suggest anything else that might be amiss here? Or is all this damage simply the result of under watering???

I'm gutted. There's 3 different varieties at various stages and they all look fucked to me.

@AI Shadow

A weekish Al maybe 8 days...

But we've spoke on the phone several times and he hasn't mentioned anything about it. Even when I was there last night he said the veg tent was fine. It was only when I looked in there...

I was quite irate tbh. I pulled that ^^^ plant out took in the living room and dumped it on the coffee table and said "does that looking fucking fine to you?"

Ok i know I should go down more but we been growing together a few years now and he should know how to look after them well enough, I supply the kit/consumables/seeds and leccy. I do the chopping and potting on and topping and cloning.

That's all he's actually got to do is water the fuckers on time.

Is that really that much to ask?

sorry to hear that dodgee. i ve had plant do that from a drought but that is a pretty nasty case you have there. drying pots out, it fucks with the ph of the soil so there's also issues with nutent burn in case imo.... dial back the feed for a bit and just veg for a bit longer imo.

i do a joke about crayons but im gutted for you... hopefully you'll be able to salvage them tho.... ;)

edit give em some maxicrop if you got it...

sack him

Clearly he made a bad situation worse. After noticing the plants were nearly dead through lack of water, he may have submerged them in the bath or watered them to the point of saturation without letting them drain thinking that would sort them out faster  When in actual fact the roots just had round two of no oxygen for long periods of time. The top growth looks dandy. Id be inclined to leave the smaller ones to flower out and chop bigger ones in to cuts

I'd bin the lot and start again tbh mucka. Plants rarely recover 100% from a hit like this in my experience.

Problem is I'm supposed to do diaries on two of the strains so I'd be letting people down but the flip side of that is if i carry on I'm hardly gonna be showing a good example of folks genetics....

He wants to keep on with them, saying they'll come around.

I think he's kidding himself coz he don't want to admit to making a complete balls up of things!

But maybe I'm being to harsh...

Looks like nute burn as well (?) , they're still alive so money says you'll turn em around.

i also think you can get them back, but you right the wont do their best...

its also a tough one one the dairy for claude..... its not like you or your mate can buy the seeds to run another one....

no answer for you really dude except - its your grow and if you have a gut feeling i find its generally best to go with it to avoid disappointment in the end.... :yinyang:

edit just a thought why not let them run for a bit, untill you find what next and see if they will perk up..if they do come back from near death that got abe an example of good geines, if not at least you tried

Keep trying maybe go there a bit more over the next few weeks,at least this way you know if its a strong plant or a weak one, surely even that feedback is helpfull to the seed fairy..

I was too pissed off to think too much on it last night, I'll go back down today and tidy them all up, remove the dead growth and stick some newspapers under the pots to try and draw out some of the moisture. Once there a bit drier I'll give them a dose of root stim /seaweed extract and cross my fingers for the best...

If i bin them it will fuck up the perpetual so i may as well flower them off.

It's just so annoying when they were looking so good a week ago, and now this...

No good crying over spilt milk I know. But you all know how it feels times like these...

Biobizz all mix and old timers grow. 2ml per litre at this stage is usually plenty.

You might be right but i'd be suprised to see this level of damage in such a short period from a slight under feed...

Plus the pots being saturated and his eventual confession of the drought..... I'm near certain it's a watering issue and if they are hungry it's likely a lock out caused and compounded by poor watering practice...

Dude

Strip the crap leaves off, give it a rhizo, cannazime and some feed, 400 watt light and they will be sound in a fortnight. I have had all sorts of disasters, and stripping and looking after the roots works wonders. I also find they like a sleep so don't boot the shit out them with 24 hour light.

You will be surprised at what they can put up with and still thrive once they are back on form..

Good luck
