Filters and Cool Tubes

Hi there, I have a few questions !

How often do you guys replace your filters, I have been on the same filter now for 2 years and now smell is coming through, i have passive intakes and know about negative pressure...

Could the glass on a cooltube obstructing lumens, i swear before i was using it, i was getting better yields.

I heard you can lose 5% of lumens through glass, and yes its time to change your filter

Wasn't trying to be a dick mate. Was just a quote from Freddy Got Fingered. Hoped you'd pick up on it, given your username and avatar. Perhaps poorly timed in fairness though.

Couldn't say much about your filter or cooltube as I don't know.

Thinking about it, it could be more down to the hood of the cooltube. If it's one of those ones with the little short hood/flaps over it it's probably not putting as much light in the directions of the plants as a standard barn style hood. Regardless of the glass. From what I've picked up, most people consider the lumens blocked by the glass to be negligible.

With the filter I think it depends which you have. Some can go 3 years. Some won't get through a couple of cycles reliably.

I'm about to upgrade myself and have heard good things about Mountain Air. Bit pricey but a long guarantee on them. I see a lot of folks using the Rhino filters pretty happily too.
