According to the comments at the bottom of the page liked here

GrayWolf sprayed 72 cans of Lucienne butane and collected 0.158g of the mystery oil. Which provided it isn't a typo, would mean each can of the Lucienne butane had approximately 0.002194g of the mystery oil inside it.

:haveadab: You know you want to. :D

Ah got you, sorry m8, youtube links don't work on ps3 anymore so I can't view videos. :wallbash: I can possibly explain the oil though, protective oil to stop the steel cans from corroding before they're filled and sealed? :ninja:

More from GrayWolf :D

I also cut apart all of the cans and felt inside for lubricity. There was none.

I inspected all the welds for quality and the welds were all sound and unoxidized.

I also cut apart the valve to better understand why lubricant would be required. It is is a simply made plug valve and needs no lubricant.

There wouldn't be any oil residues left in the can, it would be fully dissolved in the solvent just like when we make bho. Shocking really, thanks for posting.

edited to add - leave an empty can outside for a month, it'll go rusty. The factories that press the cans must spray them with a light oil to protect them otherwise they'd have corroded by the time they get filled.

I think at worst after gw finds out what it is, we might have to filter the butane in some way.

I've been wondering about this. Not made oil in a while but when I did I wasn't using a tube but brewing it like coffee in a cafetiere then pouring through coffee filters. Perhaps there will be a way of removing the nasties before the brewing stage.

It does seem like we are talking about a very small amount here what ever it is

peace

^^It only takes a very small amount of some substances to cause serious health risks. I wouldn't fancy toking on any amount of grease/oil/whatever it is.

that machine recovers butane , so you run you butane , evapourate it , collect it in the machine minus the mystery oil then run your buds

@@Jiffa Yeah, run it once without any weed, clean the collection bit, then recover the butane to be used again. I think that's how it works.
