ah the brown tape lol never seen brown duct tape ye see :D

its cause i don't want to make any permanent arrangements for the sensor just yet. I have Ceramic elements coming from China with built in sensors that i want to try first.

the wooden box is just so i can vape and not eletrocute myself lol will make something better when i can.

I spent most of this morning adding a base with a power switch to my vape.

The keen eyed of you will spot that it is a bedside table lamp i used.

Perfect for the job. Easier than unplugging it everytime.

Many thanks folks :D

Stopping my addiction to nicotine has left me out of it lately and not very focused. I forgot to mention a few things as i got carried away with vaping lol

First this is not the final MED Vape, or even the one i am wanting to build. This is just so i can get vaping and have something to experiment with.

I also really liked the idea Micro Mad introduced me to of a DIY silver surfer. For £80 i built this (don't count my breaking things and ordering more :wassnnme: )

Thats with an over the top thermostat lol could be done with something else much cheaper like a light bulb dimmer switch.

So more about £60 maybe?

Not bad either way. I have nothing to complain about with this thing at the moment. Big vapour that i can control every step of the way :yep:

The SSV glass parts are very good quality and having the manual control over the hot air hitting the weed is a feature i can't get enough of right now.

So glad those parts are quite cheap :yep:

Cheers Micro Mad :yep:

Next is different ceramic elements coming from China that have built in sensors. not sure how they will compare.

At the moment the heat builds up so the glass acts like a heatsink to some degree. So i have the sensor currently outside touching the glass. Works pretty well except the wire and sensor aren't easy to build into it, and unsightly.

More on that when they arrive.

Once i can get my big tools set up again i will make a few more i reckon. I am a perfectionist and prototypes don't cut it lol

You wan't one of these Floyd lol Whens's your birthday again?

Hi

Are you still using your vapo ?

Did you used a original Heater Stand Upgrade Kit or you took it from soldering iron?

Did you make some changes?

Im looking for cheaper alternative of SSV Standard Heater Cover.

Thanks
