Perfect Roach Thickness Answered

24 posts in this topic

I generally find that the perfect roach is whatever bit of card I can lay my hands on without having to get up off the sofa lol

A while back a mate of mine had a load of police drug information line cards (kinda the thing that came before Frank), they made excellent roach :)

I have a far too degenerate (and nosy) housemate. there is NEVER card lying about. :headpain:

Remember those cards, were perfect. Accident i think not!

Chequebook covers are perfect too, doesn't create the best immpression mind :hippy:

I just use anything that's not too thick or thin.

I prefer to Backroll with a roach inside. Make the roach just over long enough to grip between the fingers, and about as wide a regular Rizla packet.

Leave a slight Millimetre un-coiled, and make sure its a tight coil, but not too tight. Make sure its not a perfect circle either (slightly edgey), roaches tend to get squashed while smoking and could stop your smooth smoking experience.

Otherwise, the Roaches that Raw do, I find are perfect! A nice size and easy to roll with.

Waste not want not in Zeah's household everything's roached cept for the card with a thin plastic covering like some clothes labels. Not so keen on the shiny side of xmas cards etc tho still use them, like when just good old plain card kicking around but my roaches are massive so it doesn't last long

I use printer paper and make quite long roaches

Printer paper FTW, though roach length is variable. Depends how the mood takes me ...

Xerox Blue Pak Laser/Copier/Inkjet 80g/m2

That's proper roach material is that

I pretty much use whatever is at hand.. The green card in (most) rizla packs is the holy grail IMO lol but never found a roach book with the same consistency.

Many years ago I learnt the skill of removing the green card from a pack without the owner of the pack ever knowing... And by the time he gets to the last few rizla..

This master criminal is half way to Mexico with enough roach for at least two biftas..

Winning.

That seems a bit low in the g/m2 stakes judging by the original post in this thread

I blame this site because the g/m2 of roach material never bothered me before :ouch:

Tis indeed too thin 90 gsm is about the same as normal office paper i believe.

gsm never bothered me before but it was the green bit in a rizla packet that got me started, and me fecking housemate nicking the green bit of a rizla packet. Was a bit baked and thought "that is fkn perfect, wonder how thick that is" decided to find out. google and the rizla website were no good so got me white coat and goggles on and decided to get scientific on its ass.

always trust the dude in a white coat, 200gsm craft card £2 for 20 sheets is same as the green slip ( side note, why the fk is that so thick these days, boo rizla fellas!) recounted last night ,am so fkn sad, and your 2 squidly's gets you over 3000 roaches and i likes em long.

The results of this in depth study will obv be published in some worthy scientific journal or other, either that or on the back of fag packet on me bedside table

so thats the science bit, cos your worth it....... :guitar:
