For once this year I think all river fishermen are waiting for the heavens to open, for a month.

Earlier in the season there were fish a plenty to be caught on my stretch of paradise.

The weed has now built up tp such an extent, you cannot even get a lead through it.

So when the met office says rain, lets all go outside in our pants, net in one hand rod in other and do a good old fashioned rain dance!!

heya heya heya HEYA!!

We need it all flushed away to the sea and the oxygen to be pumped into the water to make the fish happy.

Funny, i was on the river colne yesterday and apart from seeming a tad to fast and full of leaves it was fine, had a perfect condition 5lb chubb out and the guy in the next swim up got 2 Barbel around the 7lb mark, im down south in hertfordshire
