I bleach my tents after every use and I also bought two of these as well.

 

 

One of those should completely sterilise both tents AND the cupboard they are in. But I use one in each and only close the zips 3/4 of the way so some ozone escapes in to the cupboard too. No wittle nasties should live through that - most sterile room in the flat! I use one in the fridge now and again too.

I still got hermies last run and it was worse than I initially thought, utter nightmare. One of those 4 named packs may have inbuilt problems. The other 3 maybe okay?

Mine must have dropped some balls mid way though the flowering stage then. Live and learn huh. I've read people complaining and bitching about hermies. From just moaning about it, all the way up too kicking and punching and pure flipping out! I now understand their pain.

I thought the initial Haze was found from bag seed and was then worked. Some say Haze brothers but I have my doubts about that story. And I now don't believe Watson had anything to do with the early Haze (or Skunk#1) or anything until he stole all those seed and ran too Holland with them. I think all them old stories are way to convoluted today and everything needs to be taken with a pinch o' salt.
I got cheese wrong. Thought cheese came from a pack of sensi skunk#1 grown by Wing Commander Blue and some cuts were given to Of The Hill (Cheese Farmer) and he then gave them to Exodus.

As I said about breeding, I only have two 60x60 tents. So gonna get what I get really. I'll keep the best and chuck the crap ones. But it's gonna be a long term project as you know... As I still have to get smokable bud at the same time.

I've seen a bundle of crap off my plants since I've been growing. Hermies, Foxtailing, rust spots, damping off of course, little flies, over/under feeding/watering, etc... The canna god must think I have a lot of catching up to do or something... It's all good though. I love it all as it'll make a better grower quick fast.

I use a cheap mister with a peroxide water mix in between grows or even pre flower sometimes that works really well. I actually like to see problems in my grows if I am selecting for breeding. Your 100% correct that it makes a more experienced grower faster. It also makes for a hardy plant selection easier. Foxtailing isn't a real problem if your breeding i find they can be favorable to use as 1 parent if your using a more tight rounder budding plant for the other parent. You can get some really nice crowning on the offspring. I will be focusing on breeding fast versions more people get these so wrong and I see a lot of people thinking any auto cross is a fast version and thats just wrong what auto's x photoperiod actually breed is photo sensitive. To create a fast version you need a auto with a fast flowering time. Hopefully i can make a fast version of double dead but I am getting really low germination rates from them so maybe not. Sometimes things just are not meant to happen i guess. No big problem really i will just try some sowahh instead as I have always been a fan of sour diesel.

Peroxide water mix sounds expensive just for cleaning ya space there dude. Bleach cost a faction and does the same job. I just started a new run and I'm already think of what to pop next. Was also thinking of Sour Diesel or NYC Diesel. Not sure if I've ever had diesel before. Have to wait till next grow. I bought Nev's Haze but it takes just under 100 days! Nightmare. There are fast versions out there but then that's not Nev's Haze any more. I think Nev never finish refining it anyway, so anyone should be granted the free rain to breed it they see fit. Had too look up Sowahh (out of stock) and Double Dead, sounds okay, not sure about the breeder tho. Not over keen of foxtail buds, they're okay, but I prefer them Rock Hard to Slightly Airy.

I generally have peroxide because I use it to sterilise along with isopropyl when setting away mushrooms so its as easy for me as it would be for most people to use bleach. Double Dead is a strain I made. Its name refers to the ancestors in the strain having chemdawg aka dog shit weed or petrol weed and shoreline. Both are strains that were linked to the old walking dead concerts so thats were the name come from. Ironic really because it could be a dead strains soon. Only got 3 out of 20 seeds to actually germinate but I used the weaker looking seeds. Still their around 15 healthier seeds left so I will try and keep these 3 around until I germinate the others soon. Sowahh as been available in a few bx forms as limited releases over the years. I have the bx4 or cubed to grow. Its original F1 sour diesel from Rez dawgs F1 Cross.

What type of mushrooms you grow?
Have ya tried either Sour Diesel or NYC Diesel? If ya could only grow one, which one would ya grow? Good luck with the 15 seed ya have left. Hope ya get something successful. Ya gonna cross them or looking for a mum?

My favourite mushrooms are jedi mind fuck at the moment. 

 

Yes I have grown the NYC diesel & the sour diesel. I prefer the sour diesel as its a lot more smooth & not as expensive.  Its in my top all time favourites. NYC diesel is a bit march harsh and a bit more heady high to it. Kind of reminds me of romulan  if you have ever tried it?

I don't really find mushrooms that good. All seemed very weak. None where what I was expecting.

Next time try harvesting your shroom before the caps open. Their similar to plant's in many ways. Instead of using energy on seeds they use it on spores. Why a lot of the sterile shroom like enigma are considered to be strong. 

 

A year makes no difference to me. I have lots to go through so shifting things around for convenience isn't going to disrupt much. It just means the next project jumps the que. I tend to work lines i like so it wouldn't just be a open pollination anyway.

Somethings are so simple they just pass straight over ya head! I've never, ever, thought of picking them a touch earlier but I've never grown my own mushrooms. I'll have to look into it someday though as I could do with a mad weekend now and again. Back when my friend grew them, they were only £20 a tub, a complete kit! Everything ready to go, just add water - 20 quid + shipping! None of that messing around with syringes and the like.

What do ya mean by,

Do ya normally run regs and let them have at it,
or do ya mean, you like NL for example, so just run that over and over,
or you like diesel so much, ya run everything with diesel in it?

No I work each strain different. If I pop seeds I have lot numbers off I tend to keep the line & use it in a cross. Things like my own lines make multiple crosses to use as multiple Bx's. I work with lots of strains but I tend to keep to all indica or all sativa at any time to make growing a little easier. Older hard to get stuff I will open pollinate them all to keep diversity in the line. From sativa, indica, auto, ploidy, haze, sweet, ect I love & grow them all.

I read Marijuana Botany by R Clarke years and years ago. Forgot all of it by now but have to get back into this stuff as I'm at the point where I wanna cross everything I have. Also wanna turn all seed I have into S1 Fems (STS). I'm gonna try this run, have 4 plants lined up for spraying and another 4 of the same strain ready for the female pollen. Also have another 4 I'm gonna dab with a touch of pollen as well. All going well I should have 4 crossed to themself and 4 normal crosses. I have a lack of space though, so can't run a 1000 plants, let alone a 100. So gonna get what I get.

Yeah Sweets always have a date on and i love for it ,   part of the reason i got the hump with Sweets as im picking up old stock form Attitude and varying other places ,  its a pain if you want fresh stock ,        Also the NYC Diesel is not bad at all , mid October outdoors at lat 52   ,   was called Ice Cool until they changed it

Not quite but your close. Yes older stuff open pollination. Hybrids all 1-1 breeding but anything worth keeping is line breed with multiple parents. 

 

I find its a good advantage for people to grow before taking the plunge to breeding because although you can get lucky with any hybrid learning a plant increase the odds of getting what you want from it being passed to its offspring.

So with that said … by this do you mean multiple parents generationally F1,F2 using single selections from each generation or do you mean multiple parents of each generation, which I imagine is open pollination, through F1, F2 etc.
