(possiby A Stupid Question) About My New Fan

I got my first ever fan today it's a hvk 125a. The question is, how do I make it work?

I've unscrewed a small panel on the back that has exposed two wires that I assume are to be connected to a power supply. Can I wire it straight up to a plug or do I need a controller?

I think I need a controller, or would at least be better of with one but to be honest I was stumped for a second when I realised it had no plug so thought it better to ask.

If you wire it straight into a 240v wall plug, it will work but just at full speed.

A controller is to adjust the speed. How it does this depends on which one you buy, but it doesn't change the electricity in the same way that a ballast for a lamp would. Controllers to change the voltage/amperage but it doesn't need to be altered to make it work.
