  1. Hi all, I'm a complete noob to all this and need to get some decent advice before I get things going as the seeds have arrived!! I have very little space to play with which meant I got a 75x75x200 (WxDxH) tent, 450w LED light, carbon filter/extraction fan, a 65x65 wilma with 4 x 11ltr pots.. I have a bunch of extras like oxygen pump, heater (as the tent is in a shed, a concrete shed but a shed all the same), oscillating fan etc. This will be my first grow ever and the advice I get seems to change often, I've been reading this forum and everyone seems happy to help so here are my questions.. I was told to use 1" rockwool starter cubes, move them to 4" cubes once ready and then the 4" cubes into the 11ltr pot filled with clay pebbles.. Is this a good way to go as some people are telling me not to put rockwool in with clay pebbles? If I do stick with this medium setup do I drip feed or flood as rockwool and clay seem to prefer the opposite method? I appreciate there is no real set watering schedule but if i am going with rockwool held in clay pebbles can anyone give me a good starting point for the number / duration of feedings the plant should have? i can dial it in from there. I will be on an 18 on 6 off light schedule (maybe 19:5 just to test it) and was told not to feed during the dark period. I think i have the EC / PH / reservoir cleaning all down and i will pull back on the nutrient dosage to around 1/4 of recommended as I am growing autos and that seems to be common advice from everyone. Any tips / advice you can offer would be really appreciated Let me know if any of you need more info on my setup before offering up ideas. Thanks

  4. Hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone can help me out please So 9 days ago I planted my 2 blackberry auto seeds (ungerminated) into 11 ltr pots with coco/perlite mix, using a cup with the bottom cut off, only watering around the cups, as I know these pots are too big to start in! A couple of days, and the little sprouts had popped their heads out, looking healthy and strong, they've been under my 300w Marshydro LED lights, temps have been around 27 to 31 degrees Celsius....I also added some Rhizotonic to the water Id given them , just to give the roots a boost at the start, but only 1ml of Rhizotonic in a pint of water (not using the whole pint...except one day where I did!) Now on day 9, they are looking strong, leaves are a dark green, and the second set of leaves are just showing, but the first leaves are bending in on themselves rather a lot! and look puffy to me (A sign of over watering perhaps? I'm not sure) There is no yellowing or discolouration (besides a brown bit where the seed shell was stuck to a leaf) the leaves just look very "curled"...both plants are about 1.5 cm tall at this point. I just can't tell if they look normal, or if something is wrong, any advice would be greeeaaatly apreciated!
  5. Hi New to this growing game so i would appreciate some watering advice i.e from seed to finish. Like how many days etc and how much in ltrs. Thanks in advance I will post pics once I get things going. P.s I will be growing 4 super skunk fem from sensi
  6. I bought liquid seaweed food, and i was wondering is it ok to spray the girls with this, i put .5ml/1ltr and spray the base of the stem and also on the leaves would that be ok?????. Any/all suggestions would be gratefully accepted, also i thought Sarah was stretching so i moved all three closer to light source (10 inches from led). Eve @ 7Days Mary @ 7 Days Sarah @ 3 Days
  7. Hi folks, this is prob a stupid question, but, i've been reading posts and topics and the terms watering and feeding come up, i understand the first 2 weeks the seedlings dont need food as the soil has food in it, so i take it i use clean ph'd water(mines is ph8, is that ok?), then from 3rd week on i mix the nutrients (bio bizz line) with the water and use that. or do you have norm water and another with nutrients, please forgive my dimness
  8. Hi guys, I have an OG Kush 5 weeks into flower, I normally water every other day. Last night she seemed fine for moisture, got back from work today and she was dry as a bone, and very droopy, gave her a good watering, should she recover quick with no real damage done? I should probably water every day now I reckon

  10. Bit of a panic here... not sure I'm posting in the right place... I have three seedlings on the go, two skunk #1 and one White Skunk - planted in moist coco 7 days ago after germinating fine in kitchen towel. They have been watered once (20% flow through) 3 or 4 days into growth, then and given about a shot of tap water each when the pots felt a little light. Still moist on the bottom though, just drying out in the lights. They are under 75 watts cfl, positioned a few inches above growth. The weather has not been kind - temps have gotten to 29.5 in there for a few days, dropping to 25.5/26 in the night with lights off. I've managed to keep it under 29 for some of the time by keeping the tent open. This is a first grow in a 60x60x140 tent, and only my second grow. The White Skunk was the first to show signs of stress - leaves curled upwards and then dried at the tips. Since, first signs of new growth have appeared though the tips also seem a bit dry: One skunk #1 also began to curl up, then its stem collapsed!! I repotted with root powder, but its looking very sorry for itself/dead!! The puzzling thing is that one of the Skunk #1 seems OK, its not looking too bad at all - it has new growth coming through, but its really slow... all the plants have been treated pretty much equally. Any help/suggestions to perk things up would be very welcome! Thanks!
  11. Hello everyone have a question to ask, would like to give a shout to @@SkyRider for helping me so far ect.. I first thought i was planting autoflowers, somehow i managed to germinate and not realize for a few days that they were just fast version seeds (Sweet seeds cream caramel F1 to be exact) yeah i know right real stupid.. The most stupid thing was i was following this guide which i was telt on here wasn't that useful. To cut it short i germinated 4 photo seeds straight into 11 litre pots of coco and perlite 70:30, they are sprouted fine just now there light pale green, there not dead as i say @@SkyRider has done alot to help me so big ups to him, but hes a soil guy! Hes helping me to the best but theres gotta be someone whos done or know someone whos done this before? Anyway there on day 8/9, three of them are fine as i say abit light but number 4 is still lacking on producing any new leaves. (BY THE WAY ITS MY FIRST EVERY GROW, JS;)) I started them on a ph of 6.5 thinking they were autos i give the pots an initial soaking of that before germinating anyway i started dropping it now ive been told and read that i should be giving in the region of 5.8-6.0 ph, is this correct i have done this for the last two days just with misting the top soil so hopefully that sorts them... But since ive put them in big pots i dont know the best way about watering ive read so many claims let it dry out, flush till run off, ect i havent watered or fed till any run off so far ive just kept misting the top soil there are still abit heavy/damp so still have water in them but should i flush till run off to see if thats the problem? thats what i dont know since there only babys and they obviously wont have much roots yet? Anyway that probably sounded confusing as fuck i hate typing so bad!, im a bit stoned but everyone on here is full of helpful advice i was wondering if anyone could sort off lay something out there!! Thanks james, happy smoking
  12. Hi ya guys, This will probably get merged, but thought I'd give it a go anyway. I've posted this on the end of the coco thread too. just wondering what people do with seedling and early veg, I always seam to struggle with this bit, suffering from super slow growth and last time yellowing of the bottom leaves, are you watering them little and often or, flood and drain from day one and let them dry out or what? Cheers guys Atb✌
  13. Evening all. I'm at 8.5wks in to flower with a Blackjack and Cream Caramel (Sweet Seeds). I'm due to pre-harvest flush the CC tomorrow (Friday) night and the BJ next week, so I'm looking at a week or two before the chop. The problem is that they get watered with roughly 5 litres each every second night but I'm going away for four nights at the end of next week and have no way of watering them, included a trusted friend. I missed one night a couple of weeks ago and they looked really ill on the third night when I got back, so I dread to think how they'll be after four. Does anyone have any (preferably proven) recommendations about something I can set up without spending much/any money? It'll help that they'll be on plain water by then but still, I can't think of anything. TIA
  14. I have been using a battery powered PH reader to measure the PH of the water and adjust it accordingly. I was using much more PH down than i thought i would have needed in order to get the PH to the desired reading so i tested the PH of the water using a manual colour coded kit (liquid droplet tester). I then realised that my PH reader must have a fault and that i must have been watering my plants with a PH of around 4 from the start up of growth up until the end of week 2 of flowering. Fortunately the plants have been growing well and look green and healthy. Does anybody know of any consequences i my face because of this, or any consequences that i should have already come across? Thanks.
  15. Just thought id post and see peoples views on the airpot, I've currently got 10l airpots and canna coco,I've seen soo many different pieces of advice on these and i just wanted to narrow it down, if anyone has any information on airpots in general and how you use them yourself, most efficient ways to use them. peace!
  16. Hi guys, So my 6 plants are halfway through 1st week of veg, they're in a 1.2x1.2x2.0m tent under a 600w hps (yes i know its a lot but i havent got p's to buy other lights) , temps are about 26-27 celsius, humidity is on the floor - it doesnt register anything on meter so im assuming it zero . The plants have 3 sets of leaves. They are in small biodegradable pots which in turn are in 10L pots....... What should I do about water and feed? I want to feed them one third doses, but I only wanted to water them once a week as well... Do i water one week, feed the next, water the next and so on......? or do i need to water them twice a week? once with feed and once without? I watered them with nutes on xmas day - a litre each, wasn't looking at watering again unitl at least wednesday.......
  17. Hi There, I am currently growing a Power Africa and a G13 Haze. With the Power Africa I am 16 days after flipping to 12/12 and have many flower sites. She is 3ft tall and 3 foot wide and currently planted in a 8 gallon Pot and until yesterday she has been drinking around 7/L every second/third day However after watering with 8L yesterday I have just checked the soil and it is dry. I am using the knuckle deep dryness technique and this has been working but i don't want to start over watering her. Can it be possible that she needs 8L/day? Do plants suddenly get thirsty when they start flowering? Forgot to mention that the room temp is still the same. Thanks Tom
  18. Hi Guys, My question is simple, how much do you water your cuttings? I potted up my Blue Cheese cuttings yesterday in 18 litre pots using Plant Magic soil supreme, I gave them 250ml each water with Hesi Root Stimulator and Supervit. I' ve read conflicting views on different sites on watering but this is my first grow and I decided to go with the little and often approach. However when I got home from work today, most of them looked limp and starved. I' ve since watered them around 400 ml each with added Hesi Powerzyme in the mixture with the root Stimulator and Supervit. I think I may have made a mistake and should have watered thoroughly? Sorry there is not any pictures, I' ve unfortunately got to go back to work and keep my fingers crossed they will be OK, it’s going to be a long four hours! Also the temperature in the tent had got up to 42oc! Thanks to my missus accidently unplugging the outlet fan, which has not helped!!
  19. HI Guys, I'm about to start my first grow but I have a few questions that I would to ask for your opinions on. First a quick bit about the grow. 2m square tent, 4 x 600w lights 5 Blue Cheese plants under each one 10" fan and filter Using Plant magic soil supreme 18 litre pots Hesi Nutrients, which are Root complex, Supervit, PowerZyme, Bloom complex, Phosphorus Plus. Thinking of adding Advanced Nutrients Bud Blood at the start of flowering as well. PH tester, EC meter, Reservoir heater. Even though it's my first grow, I'm a very quick learner and I' m hoping to get in to the 4 once bracket on my first grow. My first question is about nutes. My intention was to make 30 - 40 litre nute mix as and when needed and water the plants with this each time, I know a lad who does this and has no problems with good yields using Ionics nutes. Is this something you guys do? Or do you nute then water to avoid a salt build up? Next I wan to ask you guys about EC levels. I know that each nute brand has there own charts but I' ve heard from a few people that they are to high. Speaking to a chap at a hydro shop, he has suggested this to me. Vegging Week 1 0.6 Week 2 0.8 Week 3 0.9 Flowering Week 4 1.1 Week 5 1.2 Week 6 1.3 Week 7 1.4 Week 8 1.5 Week 9 1.6 Week 10 1.7 Week 11 1.8 I know I will need to monitor my plants closely to see if they need feeding or not but does this look good to you guys? Ph levels, I'm thinking of going 5.2 during Veg and 5.5 during Flower, sound good? Last question! Even though this is my first grow, I' am really interested in lollipopping and I’ m thinking of setting aside 5 plants to try this on. My question simply is, if done properly along with everything else, does this lead to bigger yields? I would be really grateful for your answers on these and please feel free to critique or make suggestions. Cheers
  20. What are people doing with this? I have just started growing with soil, using biobizz all mix. I flowered some Black Jack autos and I now have some Whiteberry in veg, after 8 weeks from showing there is one plant at 90cm tall, one at 80cm and two smaller ones, at about 50cm and 60cm. This morning the large plant had dried out completely, was looking a little droopy, and she drank 3lts of water with 1ml per litre of biogrow. The other plants were sitting in pots still a little heavy with water and looked healthy so I will water them another day..... I am not worried about the 4 Whiteberry being different sizes, when I switch the lighting cycle in a week or so I can bend the taller plant and I have the two smaller raised up anyway, so I can get a canopy going. My question is, with organic growing, do you need to let the pot dry out completely before watering again? I understand the organic nutes are not absorbed by the plant right after watering but only when the pot has dried out a bit. How dry does the pot have to be before you should water the plant... ....I am thinking just letting each plant individually dry out until it looks thirsty then giving it water and nutes. I am used to growing in canna, where it is wet all the time, but that seemed to be contributing to some kind of fungus in my tent, which eventually gave the plants stem rot. With growing in soil the problem is manageable, I think because the fungus cannot survive a long enough dry cycle....
