  1. Last grow in the competition? Apologies and a big thank-you to Sweet Seeds for allowing the late entry. I've planted one Sweet Cheese. My first ever Sweet Seed. The plan is to keep the roots in a small pot with almost pure worm poo and give her as much organic feed as she can take. I'm brewing borage teas for her now to give in 14 days. I'll also be watering with Aloe Vera before the Borage is ready. Later I'll give a feed of 10% milk kefir made from grains. I've always wanted to do this. If she's still alive after the force-feeding I'll then harvest her on the last day of the competition. I can vape a test bud from wet in my VTower ... I'll then decide whether she's for jarring or butter. I also chose Gorilla Girl and Ice cool. I'll grow and document grows of these seeds during the coming months. I'm growing under a Scope 220w ... dimmed down atm. I recycle my rootballs and rejuvenate with worm poo and bat shit. I have 75 days .... I think she'll flower around day 25 ... so 50 days flowering ... I love growing weed .. thanks again Sweet Seeds for the great competition. Should be fun ... and a big BIG ... Thank YOU for reading/following ... Geoff
  2. Hi and welcome to another year of Sweet Seeds fun in my little corner of the world near London. I have been growing in a 10x8 shed at the far end of the garden. The back 1/3rd of the shed is partitoned off and insulated with 10mm foam and double bubble metallic insulation foil - All staple gunned to the shed walling. There is an 8" acoustic box using phonic ducting to extract the air from the partitioned grow area into the rest of the shed - Not directly outside, the shed door is lame with a 1/2cm gap all the way around it and this has served well in ensuring decent fresh air exchange without the loss of all that lovely warm air which keeps the grow area a lush 25-32 depending on what power I set the lights or extraction to. There is an 8" passive intake hole within the shed to the grow area. With the lights I have two ballasts with simple reflectors, 275w-660w and a 400w-1100w but I have been and shall continue to run them at 400w each for the veg cycle. The bulbs are Sylvania blue for veg and first two weeks of flower then its on to using the Sylvania dual spectrum bulbs. I shall be sticking with the BioBizz stuff with the addition of Plagron Batmix for the final pot up. i have been using the following: Rootjuice, Grow, Fishmix, Bloom, TopMax, Alg A Mic. Well I think that's the main points of the setup, now to let you know they just went in to 12/12 I took some clones from the last grow I did which was associated with last years Sweet Seeds Grow Competition and so I have 4 Green Poison and 5 Sweet Cheese. Here they are from back on November 3rd all pushing roots and ready to pot: Sweet Cheese at the top, Green Poison beneath. And here they are in their first pots in my little 40x40x180cm tent which I also have within the shed - This has a 125w CFL, no fans, no real intake or outake. I dumped one of the Green Poison, you can see which one above didn't get potted I'm sure Fast forwards two weeks of them being in this tent here they are: I needed to keep them in this tent as long as possible due to my grow area being full of their parents and more. I also had Gorilla Girl in there and now kick myself for not having taken clones from this also considering how awesome a smoke it is - I have been smoking it this past two weeks and its brilliant! Sweet Cheese and Green Poison are lovely smokes also but I just found a preference for Gorilla Girl... Fast forwards some more to 14th December, they have been repotted into BioBizz All mix (I only add plagron batmix when going into the final 11 litre pots) and they are now in the main grow area: Along the way I have been topping them, lots. All the lower growing tips removed as early as possible, really only allowing the best branches to grow and keeping things all tights on height. 24 hours lights on! Moving on to some time later in December things are taking off: And then bringing us to today where I have just set the lights to 12/12: Green Poison 4 are on the left, the other 5 are Sweet Cheese. I will take the time to put up a few shots without the red ambience from the bulbs, plus some bud shots from their mothers since I have a couple of bags full Until then sweet smokes, I shall mostly be smoking Gorilla Girl and waiting on my competition seeds which are Gorilla Girl, Sweet Amnezia Haze & Sweet Pure CBD - This one I will be doing for my two friends in need. 5. Welcome to my new diary ! I shall be trying out a long slow grow with organic ingredients. All my Sweet Seeds ladies are clones from my competition run, I have just popped 5 Ugorg Blues and they are also in the tent but I shall not be concentrating on them in this diary, they will be in the background The soil I have to hand is clover, I'm not sure this is 100% organic but thats what they have all started in for the moment. I am getting a couple of bags of biobizz all mix for the next potting up in a week or two. I am mixing in Guanokalong powdered batpoo, a bit of volcanic rock dust, some additional Mycorrhizal Fungi, a generous serving of ecothrive charge, and finally some additional plagron worm humus. For additional fertilisers I shall be using Canna Rhizotonic (yup it's organic), BioBizz Fish Mix and Biobizz Bloom. I dont think there will be a need for grow, we will see. There are two Jack47's which came from a very healthy branch and big sticks of bud making mother, the mother was small but did really well so I am in the process of lots of LST and topping. They both have about 16-20 main branches on the grow - I intend to have to Jack47 trees, they may get topped once more yet. The plants are enjoying being manipulated, they are thriving as you will see below. The Sweet Cheese and Sweet Skunk clones I have one of each, they are survivors from their wicks not sucking up water whilst I was away on vacation. They will catch up with the jacks, but for now they just have 4 -6 growing tops happening. There are 5 x Urgorg Blues babies I have just moved into the tent also. If I can get the work done on my new shed everything will be transferred to there giving me much more space to grow. Thats the plan ! Heres a couple of pictures for now A closer look at Jack47
  6. Welcome to my humble offering for the Sweet Seeds 2017 Diary Competition. Firstly, many thanks to Sweet Seeds for the free seeds, quite some deal - I send you no money and you send me three packs of seeds - I feel like I have already won before I started ! Here is a quick run down on the plan : Germinate the seeds in a 40x40x160 tent with a 125w Blue CFL using the good old fashioned standard - Wet tissue paper laced with 2ml per litre of Rhiztonic. Pop them into some Root Riot cubes and allow them to rise and root up. Once rooted their first pot will be a 0.7l square filled with Clover soil. Once they outgrow the small tent I shall transplant them into their final pots, 11 litre square's, once again using Clover soil but also with some additional organic bat guano - 1 litre mixed in with 80 litres of soil. Once in their final pots they will complete the journey in the big tent - 70x170x180 with 2 air cooled hoods holding 600w bulbs. I am using dimmable ballasts so can range from 400-1000w each if needed. Blue MH bulbs will go in to begin with then when flowering I can switch to the Red bulbs. Feeding will be kept simple, Rhizotonic all the way through until a few weeks before the end, Canna Start possibly whilst starting to veg out, Biobizz Fishmix once in full veg and in final pots, and finally Biozbizz Grow & Biobizz Bloom as appropriate. I live in a hard water area so doubt I will suffer from cal mag issues, but just in case, I do have a fresh bottle of Canna Trace Mix, so if there appears to be any kind of deficiency showing I will give them a few doses of this. Seed selection was difficult. Ideally I need a warehouse to fulfill my dreams, with a tent of every breed possible, but I had to settle on three. It was tough ! Jack47 (fast version) - I always kept looking this one up but its one of the more expensive ones - And I'm a tight arse Sweet Cheese (fast version) - I have done Sweet Cheese Auto a few times and even got a few hundred of my own seeds crossed with a SuperSkunk Auto male. My current favourite flavour. Sweet Skunk (fast version) - I couldn't resist, I am hoping to find a really deep skunky pheno, fingers crossed ! I will take clones, I would like to have a few mother plants. There are plans for a shed, in March I hope, if this happens then there will be a midnight move down to the end of the garden into a grow area twice the size of the tent. We will see ! They say a picture paints a thousand words. I agree. With this in mind I shall be setting up my DSLR camera on a little tripod with a timer so I can create a time lapse video to share with you all. I did a first attempt a while back which was pretty cool, I shall add it below. The plant in the video is now 82 days old and close to cropping, a Killer Kush Auto Last night I put all seeds into their tissue paper and covered them with a plant pot, it was nice and warm in the small tent with the 125w cfl powered up. Most of the seeds have cracked open and are showing their tap root, here a few pictures to get this diary started. Jack47 after 24h with a heavy watering of 2ml/litre Rhizotonic Sweet Cheese Sweet Skunk All seeds were put in to Root Riots And then heavily watered with the 2ml/litre Rhizotonic and put under the plastic hood of a propagator Happy smokes everyone !
  7. 2011/2012 ice cool joining the party late. all will be grown under hps and in soil with just water and bloom. select ice cool as i done it in the past and really enjoy her. also had a lot of seeds from sweet seeds so i just crack the lot. no messing about ... strait in nice warm and moist compost and a lot of them were out of the ground in less than 72h. but there is a few missing which i will give time as some off them seeds are more than 4yo. double white and a sweet cheese both single seeds. a no show so far sweet skunk auto sweet special auto sweet cheese auto photo of the day
  8. Hi all ! My 10th grow, with the aid of the forum, my 6th with Sweet Seeds goodies. I have upgraded my setup a little. There are now two lights in the tent, squeezed in with the carbon filter, the fan is now outside the tent, the air cooled hoods are identical and I have hooked it all up in one long line across the tent with jubilee clips and 6" ducting, I am also using yo-yos for easy rising and lowering of the lot. New bulbs also, identical, got two blue omega bulbs 600w and two red for flowering later. New airstone in each Wilma 4 pot and hooked up to a timer to blast out for 15m every 6h. Currently the plan is to grow just 8 plants, 4 Crystal Candy on the left Wilma, then 2 Killer Kush and one of both Green Poison and Sweet Cheese in the other Wilma. I am hoping to find a mother I can clone and keep for a few runs - we will see ! Almost all of the plants rose on Easter Monday, putting the plants at two weeks old tomorrow. They have just been rooting up in their little root riots and then in some coco in a small plant pot - Today I put them in their Wilma's, and the ones I am not going to keep are potted into fabric pots and in soil, destined for elsewhere later. Currently reservoirs have the following nutes in : 100ml Canna start 100ml A + B Canna Vega 100ml Atazyme Lights are on 20/4 cycle, water pump is on 24h.

  11. Hi guys, thought I'd share my next grow with you which will be all Sweet Seeds auto strains. The space: 1.2m tent 6" RVK with Rhino filter 5" RVK intake 125w CFL blue 600w HPS Euro reflector 2ft tube heater 12" oscillating fan I soaked the seeds for 24 hours before planting them in 10L poly pots filled with about 7L of coco each, I'll top them up with more after the initial seedling stretch. For the first week or two they'll be kept under the 125w CFL with just passive intake then I'll switch to the 600w HPS for the rest of the grow and turn on the 5" fan. For nutrients I'll be using B'cuzz root stimulant and Canna Coco A+B. Really excited to see what Sweet Seeds will bring me from this grow
  12. Hi and welcome. Since the seeds are popping up to say hello it is time to get the diary started. I have two Wilma systems, identical ones, 4 pot 11 litres using clay pebbles - side by side. Total of 8 pots. Each pot is covered with a see through plastic dome propagator I got from Homebase, 3 for £6.99. There are 4 Killer Kush, 4 Sweet Trainwreck and then 2 Sweet Cheese I have just added into the pots of the two smallest/latest germinating Killer Kush seedlings. Lighting is a 125w CFL 6400k Blue light for the first 2 days and I have now put them in their own big pots in the main tent so added in my dimmable ballast which is set to 400w, shall up this in a week or two when the seedlings are bigger. Nutrients in the 30 litre tank is as follows : 50mil A and 50 Mil B Canna Veg, 60 mil ATA Root Stim, 30mil ATAZYME. Same nutrients in each tank. My cheapo pH pen seems to have failed so should have delivered in 2 days a proper BlueLab pH Pen, it has set me back £75 so it better be good ! In the meantime I am unsure what the pH of the nutrient solution is. A couple of pics, today is day 3. The Setup Killer Kush & Sweet Cheese Day 3 Lazy Killer Kush (day zero for her still) & Sweet Cheese Day 3

  15. Heya Sweet Seeds sub-forum Some of you may know me from the chatroom, others from my Auto Anesthesia/+Speed diary (shameless link ). In any case, I am Day 32/33 of +Speed at the moment but have already got 3 more Auto Sweet Seeds on the go. They were in my PC veg box (which is detailed in the other thread) for 11 days after popping their pretty heads. But to give a clearer view of my grow 'rooms': Veg box: three 23w 6500k CFLs; two 120mm Arctic fans (in and outtake); one 80mm antec fan over canopy Grow-room: Hydrolab60 (60x60x140cm); 250w HPS; 200w dual spectrum CFL; 100 RVK outtake fan in a leepy box with carbon filter inside tent; 100 unknown brand intake fan; desktop oscillating tower fan for canopy/circulation; Tent is in a cupboard of 1m2 with ducting going to vents made in door. My method of germination is: Submerge seeds in (separate if more than one strain) cups of Highland Spring mineral water (about a centimeter) until they crack and the taproot spurts. Usually this takes 24-48 hours, and I keep it in a cardboard shoe box near a radiator under my desk. I also tried using a lizard heat mat this time around and that helped somewhat. Plant ~3cm/inch under B&Q seeds soil in a pot of 0.75ltr or 0.5ltr. Cover pot with cling film for humidity (Seed/lings like 60-70%) Wait for them to pop out of soil Uncover pots and place them under a desk CFL for 24hours before putting them into my veg box. 100% Germination so far, long may that continue. As mentioned, they have been vegging for 11 days in the veg room and I initially fed them only water, with some weak strength PM beneficial (Catalyst, Root Stimulant and Bio-silicon). I only fed them twice with these beneficial: Added 0.25ml catalyst, 0.3 root stim, 2 drops silicon to 250ml tap feeding 50ml to each (I had some chillis too) 1 ml root stim; 0.5ml cata; 0.25ml grow; 6 drops silicon (0.2-0.3ml) to 500ml, feeding 100ml each These were in-between feeds of 50-100ml water only, somewhat 2-3 days apart. Today was Day 11, and I transplanted them to 6.5litre pots, which were filled with sieved PM supreme soil, sprinkled hole with PM granules and then fed: Mixed up 2ltr of 3ml catalyst, 5ml root stim, 0.5 silicon to a liter of RO water and a liter of waitrose mineral water (2liters total) Fed 500ml to each plant I had seen either Tommy or Jaypp, amongst others, doing a transplant where you cut off the bottom and place it into the final pot. So I decided to do that with the SAD and transplant the other two normally. Without further ado's, some pics and hopefully some better pics 60 days from now I apologise in advance if I don't update as often since I'll have two diaries for the time being, but knowing the procrastinator and work-dodging git that I am, I probably will update more often than not! Day 2: Day 3: Day 8: Day 11 - transplant (SAD left, Cream Caramel back, Sweet Cheese front) Thanks for reading/popping by Sending good vibes to your grow rooms
