  1. Hi, I have used Plant Magic before for DWC and were happy with the results. I am using it again but have a question please regarding flowering nutrients. I am following the DWC grow schedule as per: http://www.plant-magic.co.uk/userfiles/downloads/52/UK DWC Feed Chart.pdf According to chart there are things added to the mix when the plant enters flowering (Bloom etc) but there is nothing taken away. I thought that during flowering the plants need less Nitrogen, and so was expecting that the chart would reflect this but it doesn't. Can you please clarify why it seems that we are only to add things during flowering and not take things (Nitrogen) away? My cynical side, says the PM just wants us to use nitrogen when we need not, but I dont know.... Thanks in advance

  3. Ok so i am growing 4 autos atm , i am growing more or less by the plant magic schedule for organics. Now that being said they are for photoperiod time lines, one my plants has just started pre flowering and i am still dosing grow because i heard / read that a mistake most make is feeding bloom soon as see pre flowers when in fact you should carry on with the grow nutes until most stretching stops ( around 2 weeks after pre flower?) I was just wondering once i start on the bloom how long shall i feed it with autos? Since in 2 weeks time my plants be 5-6 weeks old .... The grow scedual says dose bloom until week nine of flowering but obviously 9 weeks from now i should already be chopped and curing / smoking would you say i feed bloom until the leaves start yellowing off with age then stop bloom and week flush or would that be too soon / late ? Are there any visual cues i should look for to know its time to stop using the nutes ? Since my 4 seeds are different strains and will have different growth rates / lifespans a visual que to stop using nutes will be handy if there is one ? Maybe when most hairs are brownish stop dosing , or trinchcomes become cloudy stop etc etc I know ive still got a long way to go to be worrying about it but just thought id ask now rather than panic later haha Edit- also my light scedual is currently 20 / 4 should i go 24/7 through out budding or stay times i am already?

  7. Hey My plan was to use PM supreme with OT grow and bloom ( along with granuels and maybe fishmix) but now Im unsure if my water supply is appropriate. From an online search my local water supply comes from the welsh mountains, says it is soft with a ph 7.64, and has a conductivity 128.00 2500us/cm (have a list of metals and other stuff thats in the water if that helps Im a bit out of my depth with this stuff) I read OT is suited to hard water, will this be problems ? Should I be using a better or more suitable organic feed that you guys can recommend? Thanks again your help is appreciated
  8. Battle of the organic feeds, Im torn between these two brands, and can't decide which one is best or what makes it better than the other? Has anyone had better results from one of the oganic feeds over the other? What are the best products from each brand? Are there any other natural/organic brands that are just as good or better? The info available is a bit limited, I see plenty of "it will produce bigger yields" but not much of why it will and what's actually in the product. Help me decide please, best answers get a super power, the ability to fly for one weekend, must be returned by monday 1pm. Cheers
  9. Hey What "additives" can and are best for using with organic branded soils such as Plant Magic supreme (this is what I purchased with OT nutes) the plethora of products with confusing names and little info has become a bit of a headache, what would you recommend? Whats already in the soil and nutes and doesn't need adding? Whats good and whats snake oil? Cheers
  10. Hey people. I have been reading on this site for a while and based on some of the really impressive organic grows I have seen here I decided to give it a go! Unfortunately, I am already running into some issues and really need the help of some more knowledgeable people which is why I am here! Hopefully as I educate myself Id try help out also. I have started some Sensi Seeds Northern lights in some miracle grow seedling mix and im 22 days in but seem to be having some nutrient issues. I am seeing what I consider slow growth and discoloring of leaves which begins with either small white dots or small rust colored dots. Pics attached. I have been giving them Plant magic Old timer grow, super-thrive and plant magic evolution (2 doses a week apart) and have been Phing the water (UK tap water left out for 24 hours) with lemon juice to 6.3-6.5. I gave one watering of Organic Cal-Mag and some molasses but even with this and PM evolution the leaves have got worse. Im quite confused as PM old timer is supposed to work well with UK water and supposed to be good as a stand alone product but even Phing im getting quite severe issues. I have just moved them into larger containers with soil supreme yesterday but I am very worried about the state of them and its a little heart breaking tbh. If anybody could advise me on what the problem could be or any extra steps to take it would be greatly appreciated!
  11. Hello everyone , I am a first time grower i thought would start a journal and update weekly hopefully till harvest. Heres some info on my setup SPACE - walk in closet thing. Floor space 4 ft x 1.5 feet height is around 4 foot total then theres a shelf lighting is on underside, filter on shelf itself . SUBSTRATE - plant magic supreme NUTES - plant magic , grow , bloom , root granuals ( 20g per pot ) , bio silicone and , mag if needed. FILTRATION - 6" rhino hobby vented into loft space . LIGHTING - 2 x mars 300 led light units well will be as of tomorrow ( plus birthday end of week hopefully order my 3rd ) so will be 280w actual draw and 420w if i get the 3rd panel over the comin week 4 x cfl 125w daylight bulbs ( not all running because of heat issues but are there if needed ) i will probably run what cfl i can heat permitting along side the panels. AIR MOVEMENT - 2 x 6" clip on fans WATER- gassed of for 24 hrs with airpump tap water PLANTS - planted straight from seed strains are incredible bulk and rhino ryder from gorilla seeds both start 3 rd week veg tomorrow rhino just hitting pre flower now , no sign on the bulk as yet but its growing well ! Royal queen seeds bluematic and royal dwarf these are starting second week veg tomorrow ( note i start my veg count from first small group of leaves not the initial pop of them ) Here is a pic although having trouble putting on this thread? So heres a link http://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?app=galleryℑ=350735 Royal dwarf on the far left then the rhino then the bulk (noticibly bigger ) then the bluematic. As already stated this is my first ever grow thought maybe start a journal so members can follow to check out strains maybe, or maybe just help me out as and when i may need it . Am not expecting miracles from this first grow but if i grow enough to justify my running costs and initial setup costs i be happy . Hopefully get enough to tie me over until my next harvest and i can dump the dealer. I have 4 plants and aiming for 4 oz , time will tell i suppose either way am pretty sure am at the best place to be any suggestions etc good or bad will be takin on board and hopefully we can have a laugh along the way .

Thought I would try one under leds without scrogging just too see just how far these leds will penetrate, 3 Amnesia in there and a crystal /ssh, 7 litre pots. I shimmed down an 80 x80 tent to fit the space and it's 80x 45. The mars 400/true 180 5 watt led didn't seem enough so I copped hold of another 300watt / true 140 watt from the same supplier, only 58 quid so there sitting under 320 watts of 5 watt diode leds and there has only been a slight rise in temp of 2 degrees. The tent max's out at 82.5 now and they seem happy enough these pics from about a week ago. I got about 3-4 weeks to go and there looking pretty.
  13. Green Fingers' Dutch Passion adventure!! so after growing DP 'the ultimate' and having great results yield wise and more importantly smoke wise i decided to do a new diary in the DP sub forum growing DP only strains in multi strain grows. i have 22 'ultimate's' finishing in 2 weeks approx so i ordered 10 beans to do this new diary with. I am planning on making this a rolling diary and doing at least 1 new strain or even 2 each run but i will always have space for 'ultimate' in my groom. my set up is 3x 600w lumii HPS lights 1x10 inch rvk A1 and 10 inch rhino pro pulling out 2x 4 inch rvk pulling in 4x 12 inch oscillating fans in each corner de-humidifier on stand-by my groom is 2.5mx3mx1.7m tall lined with b+w sheeting, walls made from stud and internal doors for insulation with all above equipment inside I am planning to do 18 plants in 6.5 pots in plant magic dirt, and oldtimers grow and bloom, granules and bio silicone i was using biobizz range with b&q mp compost and the latest gnat infestation has pissed me off so much and i have read on here people rate PM soil higher than BB so only makes sense to use PM nutes with soil So the line up for run 1 and maybe 2 will be 5x DP 'the edge' 1st Prize Outdoor, Spannabis Champions Cup 2015 If you’re a fan of strong old-school Skunk varieties with bumper harvests then this is a perfect choice. The Edge is a Sativa dominant (75% Sativa, 25% Indica) variety that delivers heavy harvests of top quality cannabis with a strong Shiva aroma which will remind you of the good old days. THC levels of 17% are typical, this is a powerful variety. The Edge has a Skunk-appearance, but with slightly more stretch. The longer inter-nodal distance and multi-branching allows for extra large harvests. This variety prefers extra nutrients during vegetative growth and requires 8-9 weeks for flowering indoors, typically reaching up to 1m tall and yielding up to 500g/m². The Edge will also perform Outdoors in mild climates and will finish as early as mid/late September. The Edge delivers a powerful and uplifting high which transitions into a strong stone. This is a robust variety which performs well even for less experienced growers and will tolerate conditions which are not always ideal. Whichever way you grow The Edge you should get a heavy crop of quality pot. 5x DP 'power plant' As soon as it was released in 1997 Power Plant became an instant success, a heavy yielding and highly stable classic. Power Plant is a mostly-Sativa variety from South Africa and the original version is only available from Dutch Passion. It is a heavy yielder for indoor, greenhouse and outdoor gardens (does well in Mediterranean climates) with bumper yields of 500-600 grams/m2 and is popular with recreational and medical users. Power Plant has been a key part of our collection and has been regarded as a Dutch Passion legend alongside, and on a par with, White Widow. It was only ever inbred by us, never hybridised, and remains a pure and stable strain with a great and well deserved reputation. When it was first released every coffeeshop wanted Power Plant on their menu and it is still found in Dutch coffeeshops today.
Power Plant is rich in THC and delivers a formidable strong „up‟ high with a fresh flavour, smooth/soft smoke and sweet after-taste. The plants reach 1-1.5m tall and the buds are often 30+cm long, with small leaves in them. Outdoors the flowering starts late but the plants ripen quickly and are usually ready around the 2nd week of October. Indoors, the flowering starts one week after reducing the light cycle to 12 hours and a total of 8 weeks is typical. Because this is a purebred, unhybridised strain it is very uniform, consistent and predictable. Power Plant is one of those uncomplicated original classic strains that everyone should try. Stable, highly potent and with great harvests. also ill be running 8 DP 'ultimate' from clones that i already have all seeds were put into a mug of room temp water last night and i can already see some of the power plant beginning to open and show that first sign of a white tap root i cannot tell with the edge as the seeds are tiny (as the ultimate seeds were) but im sure they will pop they are all sat at the bottom in the boiler cupboard in the dark and by tomorrow the will be in small pot under the CFL with her clone cousins The clones are Ultimate's that are 3 weeks from being cut of flowering plants wish me luck on my first multi strain run hope you enjoy the show!! 14. Can anyone please advise if Dutch Pro Hydro/Coco is suitable for coco grow in hard water area? If not, what would you recommend? I already have the Dutch Pro but could take it back and swap it as it's unopened. @@Mental Chops swears by Plant Magic. Worth swapping?
  15. Hi all, im sorry for asking a question that I know has been answered before, but i couldn't find the thread. Im in flower and im currently using 5 mil bloom per litre. 18. Hello there, I am due to pay a visit to my local shop to get a few small items, one of which is a root stimulant. I have done a bit of reading and I think that as I am getting PM Granules. Should I stick with PM Root Stim, or would another brand be just as good? Any advice welcomed.
  19. Hello uk420. I thought I would add this information for any one with the same question I had. I just got off the phone to plant magic hq. My question was do I need to take in to account my e.c of dead salts in my water after adding plant magic coco nutes and add extra to compensate for the dead back ground salts of water straight out of the tap? The answer was no I do not need to do that that they have worked that out at there end. So there you go straight out the horses mouth so to speak. The guy I spoke to said start with an e.c of 1.0 to 1.2 he said 1.2 first so I presume it would be ok to jump straight in at a e.c of 1.2.
  20. Hi all, sorry if I've got this in the wrong forum, mods, move as you see fit. I know this is probably very subjective, but what is the general consensus on these two products as a weekly foliar? I'm aware of the evolution's non-organic status, I'm just trying to improve my plants, so has anyone any preferences between the two? Thanks
