  1. Hi, What is everyone using to examine their trichomes? I've been using a hand held LED magnifier but in order to use it I really need to chop small parts off the buds, something I hate doing. Can anyone recommend a decent microscopic camera which doesn't cost too much? One with a fast shutter speed as the plants are always blowing around, then I can inspect the snaps on a PC.
  2. So, as the thread says in the title, these are some pictures of the symptoms of what i took, from oggling and sniffing around on here, to be Calcium more than Magnesium deficiency in this plant. It came on out of the blue onto 1 plant in a tent of 3 other different strain-ladies. They were pretty much all four following Oidtimer's organic feed schedule, and i guess this bean - Cannabiogen's Sugarloaf - started showing signs of discontent at about 5 weeks of Vegging under a 400w MH bulb, in a DR90II tent with good environment and good extraction., whilst every other lady was, oddly, happy as Larry. the earliest sign of Calcium deficiency... 5wks Veg...? : then the same plant began yellowing and drying at the tips on the fan leaves throughout the plant at 6-8 weeks Vegging ( to allow the late-planted Sour AK to catch up and put on some worthwhile girth ) : i had invested in some BioBizz Fishmix as a curative for what ailed the girl, and although it may have done her some good, i think i just let whatever it was get hold of her before i did the right thing and gave her some Cal-Mag solution. She seems to have yielded well though, but was an amazingly Hazy-looking plant for a wee one. She was also very fast finishing, at least a week before the other 3 in the tent, even though she was a Hazy phenotype by look compared to them, and seent out long branches with many bud sites along them. All in all quite an amazing plant - a quick-finishing, Calcium-hungry, Haze-dominant pheno that looks productive too. so the leaves just basically held on to the end of the grow, having gotten 1ml of Plant Magic Cal-Mag+ per litre plus Oldtimer's sheduled feed with it. my, though, it was a ravaged-looking plant by the end. Interesting too, since i'd been reading quite a lot about a drop in quality and effectiveness of Plant Magic's Oldtimer's organic Bloom feed. i can't say that i had any problems like these down to a lack of anything on the other girls, and therefore presume the feed was working for them. i had issues with another plant in the tent, but that was due to the drop in temperatures we had when it hit around Zero for a while...
