No, not them (though that's still a great tune). I'll be wetting three Shaman seeds this evening, those that grow and produce healthy seedlings will be going outdoors, hopefully before Summer Solstice. Thanks to @Antonio_DutchPassion for generously sponsoring this grow. Will update with pics once they have hit soil.

Hi folks I've been in touch with Ecothrive as suggested by @owd (thanks again), I'm expecting some free samples to try out, so I'll give it a try on my next run. The genetics I'm considering are: Cannarado Genetics Slap N Tickle Dutch Passion Banana Blaze RGS Zkittzo Seedstockers Blackberry Gum Fruit Cake Gelato 41 Maple Sherbet Pineapple Purple Punch Runtz Sherbet T H Seeds MelonSicle Dr feelgood DB x ZK bx I'd be happy to fill my Bloom-room with any of the above strains, but I'd like to invite you/UK420 to put in a vote for the seeds you want to see grown out. These are all feminised seeds, as I'm running out of spare space to be sexing plants I'll probably be germinating the next batch of seeds this weekend coming, so don't delay. Please share your opinion if you've already grown them out yourself. Atb

Hey folks, great to read about all the grows going on here. I'm not part of this year's competition so apologies for cross-posting/spamming the sub-forum. However I am growing a Dutch Passion strain this summer. Seeds were paid for from my own pocket, not sponsored in any way. Technically outdoors, but in a polytunnel. I have an Auto Duck in its sixth week at the moment, and I'm so pleased with its progress, I just put another seed of the same strain into soil. Aiming for a staggered harvest in August and September. Diary is below, feel free to take a look if interested.

Started on window sill garden plant fully organic Dutch passion competition -
I noticed Tony has suggested messaging him about problems with Dutch Passion seeds, but I am not allowed to message anyone as I haven't made enough posts. I Travelled to Amsterdam, bought 3 packs of DP seeds ( I think they were Super Lemon Haze, but it was while back ,so could be mistaken). Only 4 seeds popped out of 3 packs - we needed 12 plants and I had purchased 3 tins of seeds at a cost of 70 euros a tin. I seem to remember there were 7 seeds in a tin, but there were more than enough for us to get 12 out of it, had the seeds been any good. This was all probably about 5 years ago. This little "scenario" has ensured I have avoided Dutch Passion ever since. It's a shame as they are old school, one of the originals, but once bitten twice shy, as they say. As a note I should have not only bought more than enough of these seeds, but also bought several other strains from different breeders - hence diversifying my risk even more...here endeth the lesson, I tell myself.

Hello one and all - my gnomes and I are back in blighty after ten years working away...I was in this site in those days, grew ScroG in a DR80 and a DR240 tent with HPS. A year after returning to U.K., I finally got my ass in to gear, bought the required and kitted out the garage. oh, I also partitioned the garage, built the insulated grow room and put in the tent tent - bloom room 1m x 1m x2 Rhino filter 6” RVK Systemair extractor Ram humidifier Radiator Wilma four pot large Air stones Kroptek HiKrop 360w full spectrum LED Canna coco pro and pebbles 65/35 Airpro heat and humidity control 1 x 20 lt airpot for a try Two regular 18lt Wilma pots with many holes PH target range will be 5.8 to 6 EC will start at 1 and I will push it up during veg then do what the ladies tell me. rH will start at 60% and be reduced until flower at 30/35% Heat will remain in the range of 22 to 26z Nutes- all new to me, to be fair in the years I grew I never had a favorite - I always found environment and genetics to be the biggest factor for yield, taste, bud density, quality etc... nutes are Growth technology grow and bloom a&b Cal mag Grow genius monosilic Tribus original Canna Rhizotonic Remo velokelp for folior Not decided on bloom additives yet seeds this time will be Dutch passion autos Mazar Glueberry og Critical orange punch it won’t be a real diary as I am far too busy with home and work with lockdown but will keep you all updated. started with 180 light and got bored so threw in the other half very first time with autos - many moons ago I only ran Fem photos and generally ran single plant behemoth scrogs Also first time with LED lights a lot has moved on in my time in non-weed tolerating countries so I am expecting between grows I will update my toys a fair bit. Have my eyes on the systemar EC in-line silenced extractor with GAS EC controller if I am busy I am sure my gnomes will step in and post a few pics to try to keep things alive take care Z

Hi....relatively new grower here... I'm hoping that someone can help me figure out a problem I've had growing autos. Specifically, I've grown several autos but despite growing well in veg, the plants effectively 'stopped' mid-flower and did not fully mature. In addition, very little smell which seems to suggest that something was 'wrong' despite appearances. The bud was nowhere near the quality I'd expected although the overall volume of dried bud was good (appx 400g per plant). I've had this issue with several autos - it does not appear to be a one-off. I kept a grow diary with regular photos so can supply further details if required but here are the basic details of my most recent grow: Strain: Dutch Passion auto White Widow (also had the same issue with Dutch Passion auto orange bud). Growing environment: 1x1 metre area grow tent with oscillating fan & air extraction unit 11 Litre airpots Substrate: Canna Coco Pro Plus with appx 30% perlite added. Nutrients: Canna Coco A & B, Calmag, Rhizotonic, PK 13/14, Boost (all from the Canna range) Lights: 2 x SF-1000x Spider Farmer LED's (each @ 97 watts power draw) + 1x150watt HPS. Light schedule: 20/4 then 18/6 for the final 4 weeks. Water: RO water with calmag added to bring typical water ec to 0.4 (target) Watering schedule: twice daily after veg got underway and then three times daily when in flower. Always watered to at least 30% runoff minimum. Input EC and output EC checked at each watering. When in flower, typically flushed once per week as output EC tended to drift too high suggesting nutrient buildup within the coco. EC typically back within acceptable range (i.e. no more than +0.4 ec compared to input ec) after flush. Nutrient schedule: broadly in line with Canna recommended schedule. No major issues with leaf burn although a little leaf tip yellowing did occur. In general, I tended to go a little under the suggested Canna 'light' schedule ec values. Defoliation: minimal. LST: None - essentially left the plants to grow naturally. Temperature & humidity: typically 20 to 25C. Humidity in tent was usually around 40% during flowering. Problem description: Flowering started off as expected at approx 8 weeks after germination but did not mature as expected - no amber trichomes even after 17 weeks when I did the final cut. Some leaf yellowing did occur but regular inspection of trichomes suggested that plants were not developing as expected. One theory is that because the plant was relatively large, the nutrients supplied could not support the plant through to full maturity although this is little more than a guess. I got a big volume of bud off the plant (400 gram dry weight) but quality, as stated earlier, was very poor. Would have happily settled for a much lower yield but decent quality! I researched the requirements for growing autos and am reasonably confident that the overall growing environment was roughly 'correct'. No obvious signs of disease or pests. Can anybody suggest what my problem is? I'm sure if the growing environment were inherently poor then I would not have managed to grow the plants through veg stage and into flower. Thanks in anticipation!

Welcome to my new grow..... I'm on a mission this time. My Landlord is about to start building a new house next to ours, so we have lost our privacy We are definitely gonna move out in the next month or so, and supplies are running low, so I wanna grow some strains that I know can deliver a sizable harvest so we can move halfway through and get a good result. Right off the bat, I'm gonna do a Daiquiri Lime.... consistently a winner as I managed half a kilo last time I grew her. Toofless Alien did well last time, and I really love smoking Night Queen (my last seed). So on 26th June, I put up the tent, and made up three 20L airpots with H&G Coco and soaked them in a EC 0.6 nute mix. I planted the seeds and covered the pots with cling film and some dark card, leaving them under a couple of Skyline 400Ws for warmth. I didn't have quite enough coco (as always) so I ordered some more to top up the pots in a week or two. The seedlings sprouted on the 28th 29th and 30th.... Toofless Alien first, then Night Queen, then the Daiquiri. Here they are on day 5/4/3.... Then the new Coco arrived, so I topped up the pots, and thought I may as well fill another airpot up and plant a new Think Different from the batch of seeds I won from AFN. I also received a new Skyline 400W unit (thanks Mate!) so I had my 3 seedlings under a Skyline each, while I waited for the TD to sprout. She eventually showed her head on the 10th June, 12 days after the Alien.... so a bit of nute juggling will be going on these next few months! Here they are now..... Toofless Alien day 17 she really is flying away! Night Queen day 16 looking really good and healthy. Daiquiri Lime day 15 she started sluggishly and has now picked up. She did this before, so no worries They older ones are on an EC 0.8 nute mix and the TD is on EC 0.7. Think Different day 4 early days yet! I have now put a Photon 126 over the TD. She should take off! Hope you enjoy following this grow, more updates on the way!

Greeting all, Thought I would have a go at doing a grow diary and what a better way to demonstrate new genetics but to illustrate how not to do things. Firstly some genetic details Glueberry 0G Gorilla Glue x OG x Blueberry Indica/Sativa Photoperiod Feminised High Yield 1.5-2.0 m Indoors 8 Weeks Taste - Blueberry, Diesel, Sweet system - 2 tent system ( veg 1.2 x .3m .1.2 and flower 2.4 x 1.2 x 2.1) Lighting Veg 4 x T5 Flower 400 + 600 HPS Grow medium clay balls and vermiculite ( layer of balls on top and the bottom of all pots with vermiculite in the middle) Pots 200 mm which sit in trays Why I do it this way. Basically I use vermiculite so I have to water once a day as I work 12 hour days so only get the morning before I go to work. I hand water till the runoff reaches a certain level then let them sit in the runoff i use a nutrient cycle of N N N Water N Water Flush The cycle I have adjusted over time as I have had nutrient burn quite often on previous grows as I multistrain grow so the balance between the nutrient requirements is a bit of a juggle. I use AN nutrients with Sensi Veg (ph adjusting one) and jungle juice bloom i also use final flush for 8 - 12 days i do the majority of the maintenance stuff early sat mornings and also have a green head torch to do stuff I need to do with the lights out. so that's some background, i got these girls the day before Xmas so they started the life on the 24/12/16 The first pic is the obligatory proof of packaging ect I will post up the next pic tomorrow as it's now been about 4 weeks and have not taken another one as this is a spontaneous decision to go ahead with the diary. i did top the biggest one of the two today at the 5th node. anyhows thanks for taking the time to stop in and have a look. i make no promises but I usually aim for only one major fuckup per grow cycle but you never know as am always still learning cheers BB

Last season, I took advantage of DP's 3+3 offer on the AutoMazars. I bought them from a distributor, who removed the original packaging for 'stealth' reasons and as a result, I ended up with some duff seeds, only 2 out of the 6 germinating, which is not like DP at all. After a whingy grovelling email, @DutchPassionTony gifted me some replacement beans. This diary's by way of thanks. 3 x Auto Colorado Cookies 3 x Auto Brooklyn Sunrise And I'm doing these 3 ways (I like Masterchef, ok?) .. one of each outside in my new sun-plot (I use the term 'sun' lightly), 2 more in my greenhouse grow-pit, and the last 2 in Airpots, also in the greenhouse. Both the outdoor plot and the grow-pit in the greenhouse have been prepped months in advance, and in the grow-pit's case, last year. Mainly bonemeal, fishbone and blood, home-made organic compost and 9-yr old rotted horseshit. Just add sunshine and water! And I'll be using Plagron Royalmix for the Airpots .. Germination First off, I just want to point out that these seeds are now a year old, having been stored in the fridge since last summer. It was too late in the season to grow them last year, so they're in the first run this year. I've germinated these in a solution of Formulex at 1:200 .. the packets were opened at roughly 2pm on Sunday 23rd April. By 10am the next morning, they were all split open and showing their little white tails. Germination rate was 100%. They were potted in a mild seed and cutting compost and by 10pm the following evening, were breaking the soil's surface. Seedlings will be under T5 flourescents for as long as it takes for the fucking sun to shine, which it's not doing much of at the moment. This is just a week after opening the packets, day 4 since birth .. AutoBrooklyn Sunrise: Colorado Cookies: The one thing I've learned about Autos, you have to get them started off faster than Lewis Hamilton! Or Seb Vettel if you're F1 savvy!
