Hi Ladies & Gents I am one week into my first weed grow ever! I'm a pro at tokin the bud having spent many years in the Dam. However, my knowledge of growing the stuff is minimal & I am hoping that you guys will be able to give me a bit of advise & assistance as I progress. First I must explain that I am currently living in a third world country where it is pretty difficult to get supplies. To be honest it has been hard enough to get the setup that I currently have sent out here. I really do have to make do with what I can get. The setup consists of: DR90 Grow Tent 90cm X 90cm X 185cm 250 Watt HPS light with Dual Spectrum Bulb 5" Extractor Fan hooked up to a Carbon Filter 6" Clip on Fan Thermometer/Hyrgometer BioBizz Range of Nutes The Seeds: 2 X Cheese Auto's by Big Buddha Seeds 2 X Diesal Auto's by Royal Queen Seeds Issues: The only soil I have been able to obtain is a potting soil with an NPK ratio of 14-10-18 We have lots of power cuts and voltage fluctuations throughout the day which causes the HPS to turn of for periods of up to 20 minutes at a time. I have 2 X 60 Watt (Actual Watts) CFL lights which I can possibly use as the grow progresses. One is 2700 kelvin and the other is 6500 Kelvin. I have also ordered a BudBooster LED 220 Watt Light which we will have next week. Some Questions for the Experts: What is the best position to place the Thermometer/Hygrometer within the tent? My tent humidity is currently at around 30%. Does anyone know a decent way to raise this without purchasing a humidifier? Is it even necessary? Any idea why there is a slight yellowing on the edges of the leafs on the plants? I imagine this is due to the nutrient levels in the soil? What is the correct height from the plant tops for my HPS light to be? Cheers & good to be here. I will keep this updated on a very regular basis and I very much appreciate any help you guys can throw my way
