CALCIUM 149 mg/l Calcium is the principal constituent of hardness. TOTAL HARDNESS 372.5 mg/l Total hardness is usually expressed in terms of calcium carbonate and is measured in milligrammes per litre (mg/l) which is the same as parts per million (ppm). The recognised classification scheme we are using is: 0-75 soft, 76-150 moderately hard, 151-300 hard, 300+ very hard. Your water is very hard. 2. First time posting. Room 1.2x1.2. Lighting 2x Telos 10 pro. 2x 15 litre AutoPots with coco. Temp 25c lights on, 20/21c lights off. Humidity 62% Week 7 flower. 2x same strain Tripple cheese. Nutrients: Shogun coco latest mix into res was EC1.8 ph 5.8 i use half RO and half Tap water. Water EC is around 0..1/.2 before adding nutes. silicone in first always and PK warrior mixed separately to dilute before adding. I’ve never had any issues except maybe have to drop the PH in the res a few times but by nothing much usually. .1/.2. this last week been doing exactly the same but keep seeing PH drops. Ph dropped to 4.4 from 5.8 in 24hrs Searched everywhere to look fo answers but none as yet. anyone have any ideas as to why. Plants look ok and still look as if they are growing and flowers are stacking. I’ve calibrated my ph pen twice (blue lab). planning on emptying the res cleaning it fully and new set of nutes not sure what else to do. please forgive my writing skills I have autism and I don’t usually put much on line.
  3. Hey folks, looking for some advice on pot sizes. I have regretted not getting the round autopots as being able to turn the pots would have helped a lot with getting access to the plants but they only do the round pots in either 20 or 25l sizes, so Ive decided to try some round pots in my square trays and I will make a cover or a skirt to fit round the pot and over the tray. I’m just trying to figure out what size I should go for. The square pots are 15l but I was considering going for the 8.5l pots before i started looking at round pots. The lemon drizzle I have grown in the 15l pots are too big for the space really, thats why I was considering going for smaller pots but i realise there are lot other factors such as veg time and just the strain can make a massive difference as well as the pots. The biggest diameter I can fit is 20cm, I have a few pots that are a bit smaller (17cm) im thinking they might be a bit too small though (sure they are 5l) I will be using coco as the medium with an inch of clay pebbles at the bottom. If I go with the 5l pots will that plants be too small to get the most out of the space or should I be looking to go with something closer to 10l? I will be using 2 tents (70cmx70cmx160cm and 100cmx100cmx180cm) not sure exactly how many plants but probably 3 or 4 in the big tent and 2 or 3 in the smaller tent. Any suggestions on what size I should go for, or do you think the 5l pots are worth trying? Cheers
  4. Due to a DWC disaster of a grow 4weeks due to root rot as I just can't keep water temp low without 300 on a water chiller I tried hydrogen peroxide treat meant but it ain't worked Today iv decided to give up on DCW rip em down and start again in soil as ill never get the water temp in range in a location without spending hundreds on a water chiller so off I when to hydro place decide to try and solid grow with Auto pots wanted a two-pot system but they did not have any in but the noise chap let me have a 4 pot system for the price of a two so ill have 2 units complete spare for nothing 1, I know I need clean nutrients for auto pots so they don't sludge up so I got a litre each of Canna Terra Vega and a litre of Terra Flores 2, I know ill need to top feed for a 7 to 10 day or until roots are established but I have a few questions? 1, I see about air domes in auto pots so are they a good idea or not 2, if they are, would chuck the air stones in the reservoir do the same or be a good idea or not 3, any advice from any one can offer re auto pots would be much appreciated
  5. never grown auto seeds before but thought i'd have a go with winter coming and temps may be easier to manage these are blackberry auto in autopots (25l pots straight in not potted up) around 10 days old maybe a tad over watered, haven't watered now for 2 days waiting for the plants to drink what's there and with being such big pots it's taking a while for them to drink what's there. my fault got cocky. only been fed CannaVega and a little bit of calmag to 1.4ec
  6. This is my first time using autopots and I've come across a massive salt buildup problem to the point where I'm starting to see it appear on top of the coco and my plants are turning pale green/yellow. I think the problem is that since starting on the autopots they have only had one feed of ph'd water (around 3L each from res over 4/5 days) between veg and flower. I'm now on day 27 of flower and my guess is that the salt buildup has caused the ph of my medium to drop and lockout some nutrients. I first noticed a week ago that my plants had started to turn a lighter shade of green and one plant had started to get yellowing fan leaves. I thought this was an N deficiency so I upped the N in my next feed and shit has got way worse, now almost every plant has yellowing fan leaves with some getting rusty blotches spreading from the inside out. I have cleaned out my res and filled it with ph'd water, I'm planning on flushing them for 3/4 days and going from there. Is this the route you would take? If anybody has any experience using autopots how often do u feed just water and what nutes do you use? I'm currently using the full ionic range with the coco base nutes. Any replies would be appreciated. Cheers
  7. Good evening all, I am wondering if someone can be kind enough to advise on how to flush plants when using an auto-pot system? I read on someones article it would damaging to fill the res with plain water and leave them? Many thanks in advance. KR Gunsmoke

  11. Hi guys, I need some help with my new Autopot setup. Long story short the pH under the pots in the tray is way lower (4,9 ~ 5,4) than the pH of the reservoir tank (5,9) and I think Im having multiple problems because of that. Im using coco Biobizz "Coco Mix", Green House Powder Feeding Hybrids and Mostly Sativa fertz, Cal Mag of Grotek and RO water. The pots are 8,5lts and Im using 3cms of washed clay pebbles in the bottom with coco coir only. The values of my reservoir tank are pH 5,8 ~ 6,0 and EC of 1,2. Before of this I had grow only in soil with tap water and without checking the pH with average results for years. Then I had the money and I wanted to improve so I bought an Apera PC-60 pH/EC combo meter and Autopots (8,5 lts easy2grow kits) and started growing with coco coir. I can see the amazing results of checking pH and EC but I had a lot of problems in this grow and I think Im at 40% of full potential. In fact following the Powder Feeding schedule of Green House I overfert to death some plants. Searching in the forum I discovered then than in a multi feeding setup like Autopots you cant go beyond 1,2 EC. I learned. But my actual problem is that like I said the pH of the tray is lower than the pH of the reservoir. I understand that the "run off pH thing" is not accurate but the problem is that in an Autopot setup you dont have "run off", and I think if you have the pH of the feeding solution under each pot way off than the correct value it will cause problems. Right now my reservoir is pH 6,0 and EC 1,2 but the water under each pot is pH 5,4. How can I grow big and healthy buds with that pH? With soil as substrate Im having the same problem with the autopots (the pH is lower 5,2). What can I do? I flushed the pots and checked the run off and effectively the pH is way off too. I think I can grow like this but my buds are very thin in this moment. Maybe can work if I flush with like 7,0 water until the run off is corrected? I think that the plants will not eat all the nutrients if the water of the tray is pH 5,4. Just in case, I googled the forum and the internet searching for answers and I dont have found nothing than helped me. Thanks in advance.
  12. i have opted to buy an autopot system with 15 litre pots, generally i grow skunky type genetics or medium sized indicas, so they would be around ten weeks ish under 13/11. My question is this, am i going to struggle with coco and clay balls ? could someone please recommend a pre mix that they've used that was reliable and gave good results. i am researching this as i am a half whit when it comes to hydro, grew in coco a couple of times but got an attack of the borg so cleaned out and started again with soil. i will be going with dutch pro coco 2 part base plus pk 13/14 ??? i need help ! thanks in advance peeps

  16. Hey, lurking for a while but this is my first post! Recently invested in an 8-pot Autopot system with a 100ltr reservoir, will be growing in a 70/30 coco/perlite mix and was looking for some advice on which brand of nutrients to use. I've been eyeing up the Cyco Platinum range or the Canna Coco nutes, but I'm aware Canna also have Hydro nutes. Anyone have any advice or recommendations regarding these or any other nutes? If anyone has grown in Autopots with coco before would definately appreciate you chipping in your 2 cents. Open to all ideas. Thanks guys
