  5. New to gorilla growing and have a growing scenario I'd like to sound out and hopefully get some advise on. 52' N. A reed bed which is the last in a sequence of 6 lagoons each filtering cattle shit with the run off flowing in to the next but has been lying dormant for 10 years now as concrete tanks are preferred for European regulation and is now overgrown with limited access in a it never existed style. Facing South. Currently a covering of reeds along with nettles scutch and a variety of native grasses on the surface of the lagoon. My plan is to clear an area of the surface and grow in tyres with a small amount of light soil on the surface. I have read that the canna indica plant thrives growing on filtration reed beds and am hoping that an autoflowering indica cannabis would too. Again am a noob so open to all or any advise. Is planting in a tyre with soil necessary? Is an autoflower the right call?
  6. Ahoy me' hearties, Glad you could all join me for this special voyage into uncharted waters for the 2019 season - lets hope its a good'n! Firstly many thanks to @Dinafem-Mark and Dinafem for making all this happen, providing the beans and running this successful competition for multiple years now! Its a first time for me, I just hope I can do the strains I opted for justice. The girls will be getting under sail at Lat 51 and will be growing in the greenhouse and in the garden. I have opted for two strains, the first being the infamous Critical + 2.0. The hardiness of this strain due to the inbred lineage of a moisture resistant phenotype attracted me, as any outdoor grower has surely ran into the dreaded botrytis when approaching harvest time. Also a 70/30 indica/ sativa hybrid, coupled with a late September finish ticks all the boxes for me. The second of the Dinafem selection I have opted for is the White Widow Auto. Ive seen multiple posts on here praising this auto strain - I believe the aliens had several good results and remember one or two others commenting that it was always a solid performer even at lats several degrees higher than me. Ill be using Jacks Magic (50%) with perlite (50%) to loosen & aerate the medium. In terms of feeding - ill probably use Tomorite or something that I have to hand. Generally i've done just fine without worrying too much about feeding and all that jazz. Cheers and all the best!
  7. Hello community, i kinda feel stupid for asking as im sure this is probably a very common problem but im unsure what my options are, iv noticed a couple of my outdoor, greenhouse pots have little black flies in them (im guessing gnats from a little research). Are they damaging? If so how bad? The ones noticed them in most are around 1 week into flowering (autos) can they be treated? Etc etc much appreciate any advice guys!

  13. Morning fellow herb enthusiasts! I was wondering what systems people put in place for helping to counter act bud rot later into the seasons? I understand that some strains carry better mould resistance than others which is a great start, I believe mycorrhizal fungi can help the plants defence systems too? Shaking colas off, creating small structures to put over their main colas which sounds like a good plan although I'm trying to make the plot look as natural as possible. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
  14. I’m New to the forum well a returning user been a good few years though. Anyway I'm gonna do a dairy I’ve chosen RGS auto lemonade OG these will be getting done outdoors LAT 51 I’ve got six pips and going down the organic route. Using plant magic’s range to feed them, fingers crossed for some good results lets hope we have a decent summer with plenty of sun. Day one Thought I’d do a side by side experiment regarding pot size/growth/yield rate etc. Soaked all 6 beans in water for 24 hours until they sunk. One has gone into a 6.5 litre final pot size straight away. Another has gone into 11litre final pot size the remaining 4 have gone into 0.5 litre pots which they will stay in for 10days and then be potted up into 11litre final pots. Awaiting heads to pop up now will keep you all updated.

  17. I found someones plot today I'm sure! I was out "walking my invisible dog" when I came across it. There was about 30 holes all dug out. I searched the area and found a spade, some bags of manure, chicken wire and half a bottle of Lucozade lol. If this is a guerilla grower preparing for this season then I'm not sure what to do? I personally think this area is way too easy to come across and wouldn't bother if it was me. Advice lads?? Provocateur.

  21. So this is my first go at trying a outdoor gorilla grow, I've done a fair bit of reading up, but any hints/tips/suggestions along the way would be appreciated Over the Christmas holidays, i was tripping, walking the dogs in the snow, enjoying a smoke and pondering the dilemma every stoner has: I smoke too much. In my budget some of that money could be used for better purposes, BUT.. we all love a good smoke.. "i can't grow inside" i huff, but i can grow outside.. Even after i sobered up i had likened to the idea, a short while after having a think, i realised I already had a place out of the way, discrete, quiet, and hard to access, all else i needed were seeds, pots, fertilizer and 6ish hours of sunlight. It took 2 hours or so to clear the place of weeds and to ensure to enough sunlight. On the subject of seeds, i thought long and hard about what to try, i knew i needed two strains, so i could compare which grew better for my climate, and to decide what to try and go all out on next year. My immediate thought was to look at old strains i know and love, blue cheese, northern lights etc however, if i were to be growing outside, where i can really do very little, in terms of control over the temperature of the plants. I would instead need two strains that are tough, resilient, used to my latitude&weather... That really narrowed the list down to about 20, and i went with: Latitude 52.1 UK Dutch Passion No1 x3 7th/april germination date (early september harvest) Blue hash x3 1st/april germination date (to harvest in early october) I'll also use: 10L&40L fabric bags Bloom fert for fertilizing during flowering Sensi Grow A+B for fert during the vegetative stage Peat pellets for germination. If all goes well, I'll update the journal every 2 weeks or so with some pictures to keep you updated on how everything goes, all should start april/
