  1. Flower week-2

From the album FIRST EVER ROOM

week 2 flower just had a go at lollipoping !!!! and SCROGED as you can see. I think I have done this way too late, from what I can see it should have been done during veg.
  2. Hi everyone. Its my first hydroponic grow, I have one plant, its a Northern Light Auto. She had some stress which put her to a stunned state for a week. I accidentally added some tap water to solution. Later, she had another stress because of too high pH. She had some male preflowers which i cut away. She started to flower only at week 5, and now she is 7 weeks old. Light schedule is 24/0. She does not look like a Northern Light, it have thin leaves, a lot of small flowers sites but no smell and no resin. What shall i do? Shall i just throw her away? Do i have any chances to get any smoke from her? Please excuse my not native English, and thanks for help!
  3. Morning all a quick question regarding ec I got a bluelab truncheon yesterday and tested my tap water it’s coming out at 0.7/0.8 now with it being so high when I start my dwc which will be in a oxypot Xl so 70litre res what should I be aiming for as a start point. My understanding is to stay on the lower end of the scale when it comes to feeding in dwc. I’m using AN Sensi Grow A+B and will be addingn some voodoo juice as I’ve read some good things about it. So Do I only mix feed in and make it up to say 0.9 which is only 0.1 of added grow or go upto 1.0 which still doesn’t seem a lot at only 0.2 of food. Cheers in advance
  4. Morning all thinking of starting a little indoor garden gonna be a in a 1x1x2 budbox pro. This will be my first time going hydroponic I’ve been looking at dwc systems but not sure weather to go for a 2 oxy pots which are 19L res each or the oxy pot XL which has a res of 70L and have two plants in that system. I’ll be vegging with 250MH and then flowering with 400hps and using Sensi ph perfect nutes as seen some good reviews on them. Any ideas on the system I should use and which will be the most stable and best for a beginner. Many thanks
  5. Hi all, thought I would showcase how I have fit my RDWC in the new tent. I needed a new one and a few months back noticed BudBox Pro had made there inlet manifold "Hole" larger on the newer tents. After several phone calls and a very helpful growshop chap I decided they would actually be large enough for my RDWC Pro system. The pipework is 4" pipe similar to guttering so it was a bit of a gamble but late last week I finally had a clear enough tent to set it all up. The header pot (below) is tight, but it worked. It sits outside the grow tent meaning not only is ALL the grow tent just grow pots, I dont have to go into the tent to do my water changes. Meaning I don't need to disturb the light cycle with green headlamps in the warmer months. So the manifold comes of the header and through the purpose made hole already there..... And then it splits to the first two grow pots inside the tent. So atm I am waiting on some seeds and clones to decide which goes in. I have my own Dark Glue (GG4 BX3) X (DiscoBiscuit BX3 X DiscoBiscuit) clones in the Aero' Prop' and some of @panik 's Zkittzo in soak. I'm leaning towards the clones going in because although the Zkittzo are all one strain they are from seed and may require some different levels of feeding whereas the clones should be more similar in terms of EC needs. But I will take a punt if the Zkittzo look ready enough before the clones root out enough. Flip of the coin right now. I have some major changes going on in here over the next couple of weeks. I have a new CarboAir Filter going in which I already have. Its one of the CarboAir 100's so only 660mm in length and should fit nicely down the centre of the tent rather than central along the back. Got some rigid ducting for fan and filter connection as well. I also hope to have some new lighting going in. I've decided its time to go to LED and out the HID monsters, so fingers crossed @diyleduk can make me something nice, dude I will be in touch soon, just figuring this all out then I will drop u a PM etc. I also have a 2000L a day RO System ready to go in, I'm working on the logistics of this during this week but my plan is to have a collapsible 300L water butt I found on the net for £30 in the room and have the RO system attached to wall above it. Then the day I need to do a water change I switch it on first thing and by about 2PM it should have given me the 270L of filtered water I need, something I will have to measure and mark on the water butt during the week. Still working out how I get the waste back to the bathroom safely but I think I have a rough plan. Should then just be a case of mixing the nutrients etc to the correct EC and leave it for a night to settle before adjusting PH if needed and then empty old and add clean fresh.... I think... Need to Get a SCROG net in here and I have been looking at those elasticated ones that clip to the tent poles. If anyone uses them and reads this and dont mind dropping a little opinion on how they do I'd be really grateful as I'm on the fence with them from what I see pics of online. Well cheers for reading though if yo managed it. Will do another topic when its all done, hopefully Take it easy all. GV.
  6. Hows it going everyone? Firstly a massive thanks to Sweet seeds and everyone here that makes the like of this possible. What an unbelievable competition!! You'd be mad not to throw your hat in!! I think choosing the strains was for me the hardest decision I've had to make since naming the kids . Being a professional bun chef the strains and the descriptions had me salivating!! I love a sweet taste in my vape. After hours of deliberating with the wife and the shopping cart changed many times over we decide to go with the following photoperiod strains. I couldn't wait to get them going!! They will be grown in my tent in the loft and I will be training them the same as my last grow. I tried mainlining my plants to 8 mains and for a first attempt I was really pleased. So these girls will be getting the same torturing!! Equipment And Nutes 120x60x160 Tent 2x19l OxyPots with pumps and heaters 600watt HPS 5" Extraction fan and filter Couple of clip on fans Heater fan Rootit Cubes Rootit First Feed Shogun Samurai Silicone, Grow A&B, Bloom A&B, Vitalink Calmag Ive always wanted to try a girl scout cookie strain so I went with two Gorilla Girls first. I honestly don't know why i didn't pick two different ones. I sort of got caught up in the moment So I plopped them into a glass of water for 24hrs 24hrs later i tapped them and they both sank I then placed the seeds into rootit cubes that i soaked in ph'd water. Then the cubes are placed in a prop and wrapped in a black t-shirt, sat on top of my veg cab to keep them warm. A couple of days later and Hola Amigos Two very healthy seedlings soon emerged. I transplanted them both into net pots. Then sat them into some solid pots to block out the light and catch run off. I top fed them with rootit first feed at 3ml/ltr I thought they were looking so nice i decided to try and move them closer to the lights. Not a good idea. I fried one of them and just about got away with minimal damage to the other I took it as a sign from the Canna Gods (should of had 2 strains) and immediately placed a seed in a rootit cube. No soak this time. And up she popped to save the day. Mrs Crystal Candy ladies and gents The Gorilla Girl soon got going again and she was crying out for the bubblers but i had to wait till my last run was chopped. She went into the bubblers with an ec of 0.6 from a background of practically 0. Ph set to 5.8. Water temps 19 degrees I grew her up to 5 nodes and began the torture training. Firstly the operation! All equipment cleaned well!! Topped at the third node Then everything below the 3rd node cleaned leaving only 2 fan leaves I want this manifold to be as flat as i can get it whilst these 2 nodes grow out so i tie them down as they grow out to 4 nodes. Im limited for height and this worked out last time with a bit of planning and a tape measure. Well thats the big girl up to date. Mrs Candy has come along nicely in the wee veg cab an i just transplanted her into the bubblers. Im glad they are a couple of weeks apart as thats how my last grow went and harvesting was easier also. She's looking a bit sad but i bet she'll have perked up after a day or two in the jacuzzis! Thats me all up to date and finally managed to get a few hours to myself to get this diary up and running. Im still very much a noob and this is my 3rd grow in the bubblers, 2nd time mainlining so please feel free to help me out along the way. Thanks for looking
  7. Hello and welcome to my Humboldt Seeds tester dairy It feels great to finally get this up and running, looks like I'll be the first to kick things off. Genetics: Humboldt Seeds Platinum Yeti Sour 76 Lighting: Migro 200 for veg. Migro 600 for flower. Growing Method: Hydroponics DWC + Aeroponics 4 x 20 litre buckets + 4 inch net pots. Nutrients: General Hydroponics Flora series Additives: Diamond Nectar B52 URB Natural PK 13/14 Cal Mag Grow Room: 4x4 Homebox Evolution Tent. Cheap 4 inch inline fan + passive 4 inch intake. Hydro-X controller - Just being used to monitor temps and humidity for now. Hailea 4 outlet air pump - need the upgrade this to a larger pump. Two monkey fans. Bluelab PH pen + Bluelab EC Truncheon Cheap reverse osmosis system with 60 litre reservoir. Aeroponics System: Diy Aeroponics 6 six site system. The seeds will be taken from the wet paper towels and put into 1 inch rockwool cubes then put into this system with 3 inch net pots and clay pebbles, They will spend a few weeks in here and I will flip them in this system to determine sex before revegging and putting them into the DWC buckets And finally this is where we are at now, 3 seeds of each strain have been soaking in straight tap water not ph'd for the last 20 hours, after 24 hours in the water they will go into paper towels with just tap water I know it's total bs but I tried to sex the seeds based on characteristics, we will see how that one pans out Thanks for dropping by I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's grow dairies and having some fun in this section. Peace out.
  8. Hey everyone! Just another general question wondering if any of the experienced guys can recommend what I should look into! I want to grow photos after my second auto grow but not sure the best way. I don't really want to veg for 2-3 months I know the yields are awesome but there must be good ways to grow quickly and get a good yield Long run I want to take a clone off one the photo plants and make a mother from it so future photo grows are quick as possible. Would it be quicker to grow one plant in DWC or 9 small plants, is the yield comparable between the 2 etc. Likewise what should I do with future clones one in a dwc/9 in coco or something Any recommendations greatly apreciated
  9. Hi guys hope you all are having a great Christmas Day. Im quite a newbie here but a couple people have really been helpful lately mainly @stu914 so I am really appreciative of that. This is my first rwdc grow in fact my first grow in 10 years the first was 10 years ago with 1 600hps in a cupboard, this time a bit different I have a 4 pot 33L rwdc set up. 2 hps 600w for veg, 4 hps 600w for flower. 8” hyper stealth fan, 8” mountain air carbon filter with insulated ducting. 6” inline fan. Humidifier. 2 oil filled radiators for night time. 2 cooling fans. Scrog is 2.5m2 Using Buddhas tree nutrient range and regeneroot as well. Ec is 1.2 ph is 6.0 temp lights on is 25, lights off is 22. Water temp 20. Humidty around 40% I got 5 cuttings a couple of weeks ago. 3 were Bubba island Kush, 2 were blueberry og. The Kush being around twice the size of the og so I put 3 Kush and 1 og in the pots 13 days ago but decided a few days ago to pot the final spare og cutting in a 25L pot with soil to make up the space as I mentioned the one og in was half the size of the kush. As mentioned in a previous post I had an accident with the scrog it dropped and I thought one but it was actually two main stems snapped quite badly near the top of 2 of the 3 tall kush plants, there are still nutes getting through to the top leaves but I was going to ask this. Is it it not worth cutting both stems where they are damaged and doing LST to the lower nodes to try and fill the canopy below ASAP as these damaged plants are really tall and not wide. to the one remaining kush plant that isn’t damaged will I top? lastly will I start defoliating the lower leaves already if so how far down? Ive been reading up on LST and have started it so this should help widen all plants going forth. Thanks for looking.
  10. Hi guys hope you all are well. Newbie here in need of some help ASAP that will be greatly appreciated. Here is my life story don’t know how much info to give so I’m giving pretty much all. I have grew a couple of times in the past on very small budget this time around I have invested well over a grand and want to get a big a yield as possible. I have 4 recirculating dwc 33litre pots. I have had all cuttings in a week 3 bubba island Kush cuttings that we’re about 150mm high before moving into pots. 1 blueberry og cutting that was very small but rooted about 70mm before moving. 2 600w hps omega dual specdrum bulbs about 300mm above plants. 5m2 room with milar film all around. 8 inch phresh hyper silent fan and 8 inch mountain air filter (awesome bit of kit) water temp is around 20* ec is 1.5 (it was at 1.0 but was told to up it with leaves being light coloured) ph 6.3 First problem is leaves are drooping on all 4 plants, I was told by an expert to keep them above the pots they’re currently about 1inch above, will I drop them to 1 inch below? The roots are flurishing on all 4 and dropped well into water. the smaller blueberry og has barely grew at all and is very pale don’t know what to do with this? how often am I meant to drain the water and refill with nutes? Sorry I am struggling to put any pics to this site on a mobile is it possible on an iPhone XS Max? thanks in advance.
  11. Hey guys, this is my first ever grow, im trying to grow a CBD strain called critical cure. My grow started out good for the first 3 weeks, growing fast and looked healthy, now it has gone bad real quick it was fine one day and then overnight i noticed the leaves went all droopy and i checked the roots they seem to have gone from white to a yellowy-greyish colour and have knotted together. Ive looked it up and it sounds like root rot, I bought some pythoff and hydrogen peroxide (6%). im not sure how to treat my plant with either of them but i made a new nutrient mix and added 1ml/5lites of pythium to the mix and put the plant in that solution. my question is how do i use pythium or H202 and will either of them cure the root rot if thats what it has? second question is i wanna try upload some photos to see if anyone can diagnose whats wrong? heres my gallery - someone please help!
  12. Hi everyone, Im just over 7 weeks into flowering 2 critical kush in dwc. The breeders guide is 9-11 weeks. The tallest one is all white pistils but the other one is smaller and filling out with buds then darker pistils. I took some sugar leaves off it to practice looking at the trichs. I've wild shaky hands so I can do it better at the kitchen table. They looked pretty cloudy and also some amber in there too. Trich shots from using a pocket microscope 60-120 zoom with led light. Im still inexperienced so some advice would be appreciated. I took some from the lowest nugs too and they were clear and cloudy, no amber Lower Nugs Im really confused now as i was expecting to see all clear trichs.

From the album sick plant pictures

This is a picture of my plant i was wondering why it suddenly went droopy over night? the night before i left the heating on in my house for like 8 hours because it was freezing then the next day i checked my plant too see this, it would go limp when the lights were on and stable when the lights were off, it did this for about 3 days now it is just staying limp, the leaves are starting to curl upwards and the roots have turned yellowy greyish colour. the plant was doing well for the first 3 weeks and then over night it went droopy, i suspect its root rot from what i've read on the internet, is this plant too far gone, can i cure it and if so how? thank you.
  14. I am going to transplant 3 Jack Herer which currently grow in a R-DWC into a Wilma system. The plants are in their vegetative state and growing happily and the medium I am using in both cases is clay pebbles. So my concerns here are: 1. How bad will this be for the roots? Going from being submmerged in a oxygenated solution to being irrigated from the top at different intervals. 2. What is the best way to proceed? I'm afraid the long roots will be compressed by the weight of the pebbles resulting in damage. Is there any other preventive measures I should take to make the process as painless as possible? Thanks in advance, buds.
  15. Hi. I'm about to start my first dwc and need some advice. I've already have my seed develop a tap root, about 1". I use Root Riot cube on a plate with a half PET bottle over to keep humidity. I'm thinking to transfer the net pot to a 1L bucket and after roots develop more i transfer to final bucket. I have a 60L bucket as final, going to have 2 airstones . I have Plant Magic DWC nutes and ph+ and ph-. I also have plant magic bloom boost pk. I have ph and ec meter. Now my questions..... 1. Do you think it is a good idea to first use a smaller bucket, with a airstone, until roots develop more? 2. I have ec 0.4 in tap water, am going to need calmag later on? As i understand, it might not be needed? 3. If nute scheme says 0.8 ec nutes, does this mean, in my case, a total of 1.2 (0.4+0.8), or does this mean a total of 0.8 (0.4 tap water+ 0.4 nutes)? Nt going to max nutes, just want to know how to read the scheme. I go for half strenght. I appreciate any advice and input. Best regards
  16. Have begun to think about a DWC grow. What size is optimal for a 1-plant grow in DWC. I have a 16 gal and a 5 gal to choose from. Going to use 2 airstones for good level oxygen in the water. I'm wondering if there a real advantage to use the bigger one? If it's not a huge advantage then it 's only going to cost 3 times more nutes since they are mixed / gal. This is going to be my first try on DWC starting when ongoing grow is finished. Peace
  17. Hi guys, I am about to start growing some autos in 3 gallon bubble pots, DWC style grow. I bought a load of Canna Aqua (not everyone's favourite I know - but I was suckered by some dude's ridiculous looking grow on Youtube ) and I was wondering what type of volumes to use. I intended to just follow the Canna guide for light feeding but I heard that Autos typically don't eat as much as photo plants. I grew some photos in the past and followed the guide and they burned!! Can anyone advise from their experience if the light feeding guide is realistic for autos? If not I will probably just start off one third the recommended and see how they do. I was advised in the past that you know the feed level is correct when the EC does not drop by the time the water is changed. The idea being that the plants are taking the same ratio of nutes and water, or does this just mean that you are wasting loads of food when the water is changed? Thanks a lot, T
  18. Hi all On my first grow and hoping I’m near the end. Would anyone be able to tell me if I’m near there and when I would need to begin the flush. I had planned to flush for around 4 days. Coming up to 9 weeks since I flipped Train wreck breeders guide 60-70 days oxypots EC 1.5 PH 5.6-5.9 Thanks for looking and any advice appreciated.
  19. Hi All. I was hoping for some advice on changing from an NFT system to a DWC recirculating system. I am currently running a sog on 2 NFT 604's under a 600w light, however the space I am using has limited height at around 5ft alought around 3x3m floor space. Because I have limited height I am running around 10 plants in each tray that are switched to flowering when around 8 inches tall and i'm currently averaging around 14g per plant finishing at 8 weeks flowing. I have been considering changing to a DWC recirculating system as I would then be able to grow from seed instead of clones and be able to change the strain regularly and cut down on the number of plants I have running. I would be looking to build a 6 pot recirculating system myself but I am unsure if I will have enough height for them yield the same as I am currently getting off the NFT (Would need to get around 2oz per plant) the plants could get to around 3.5ft before any light burn. I can spread the system out and even bring in another 600w however I still would like it to be turned around in 9 weeks, I can veg them elsewhere for a few weeks before going into flower however I wouldn't have the time to do a scrog as once i have them vegged they go into the flowering room and I run it perpetually. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
  20. Hello and welcome to my grow I started a thread here a few days ago and posted some YouTube videos in it but for security reasons it had to be deleted. Hopefully I can do this thread justice and include some more detailed information for you guys. I will be kicking off this grow with some pics from day 16 but I'm actually on day 20 since germination now. Strains Grown 3x Critical + 2.0 1x Strawberry Amnesia Equipment 4x4 homebox evolution tent 1x Mars hydro 48 reflector led 2x Mars hydro 300w leds 1x Hailea 4 outlet Aco9610 air pump 1x 4 inch manrose 3 speed inline fan 1x 4 inch Mountain Air carbon filter 1x Delonghi 500w radiator with thermostat 4x 10 litre buckets for Veg 4x 20 litre buckets for flower I will be adding a Migro 100 led to the grow at the end of the month and I'm excited to test this light out Nutrients & Additives General Hydroponics 3 part flora series Advanced Nutrients B52 Mammoth P General Hydroponics Diamond Nectar Great White Mycorrhizae Cal Mag Silca It all started just over 20 days ago now where I started out with 3 feminised Critical + 2.0 seeds and 1 feminised Strawberry Amnesia seed which I bought myself about 4 months ago. The 4 seeds were put between moistened paper towels in a lunch box with normal tap water with a starting ppm of 320 and put in a warm place with the lid slightly open, after 48 hours all 4 seeds had germinated and had a 1/4 inch tap root. The seedlings were transplanted to 1 inch rockwool cubes that were pre-soaked for 48 hours in normal tap water PH'D to 5.8 and put under a humidity doom with 2 T5 22w lights, the humidity was kept at 90% and temps 20 degrees. For the following 8 days I just kept the rockwool moist with normal tap water not Ph'd, on day 8 they were transferred to the dwc system. From day 8 to day 20 they have only received 3ml micro, 2ml grow, 1ml bloom and silica, cal mag, diamond nectar, mammothP, b52, and two of the plants got Great White Mycorrhizae. The reason they have'nt got much of a feeding is my starting ppm is so high (320) that I haven't been able to start a feeding schedule yet and at the moment I'm just trying to keep the plants happy and healthy until my reverse osmosis system arrives. The only problems i have encountered so far is the strawberry amnesia had a calcium deficiency that was caught early and fixed, the SA is a cal mag oholic and the critical plant no3 is showing some signs of a mag deficiency. I will give a detailed break of the feeding schedule once the osmosis system arrives. The 3 Critical plants are labelled 1 to 3 in the order which they germinated and the strawberry amnesia is labelled SA Day 16 Strawberry Amnesia roots day 16 1x mars Hydro 48 reflector and 1x Mars Hydro 300w and currently in use All 4 plants were topped on day 19 after the 5th node. DAY 20 There was an explosion of growth once the roots hit the dwc system Critical No1 has longer slender leaves with really tight node spacing. Critical No2 has really wide indica leaves and the spacing is also really tight. Critcal No3 is like an in between of 1 and 2 and the node spacing is more on the stretchy side. You can notice the magnesium deficiency in this image. And the strawberry amnesia has some Jurassic looking leaves which I wasn't expecting at all, I thought this strain would have long slender leaves. You can see the purple stems due to cal mag problems I'm having with this plant, hopefully a good feeding schedule will correct this. That's it for now, I will do a weekly update on this grow or maybe even two Thanks for checking in
  21. Hi, I think I made a mistake and germinated a seed in a very small plastic net pot. Then when the time came to plant in the DWC res, I simply put the entire small pot in the big one with more clay pebbles. In order to do this, I had to thread the roots through a hole, but I'm thinking I have artificially harmed the ability of the roots to grow out of the net as they all emerge from the pot through the same small plastic hole. Does anyone know whether this is the case? Cheers

  23. Hi folks planning on switching to 12/12 in the next few days. Currently running 600watt mh grow a&b shogun samurai hydro Ec 1.1 Do I do a complete res change and switch to the flower nutes the same day I change the light timer. Also do I switch the mh bulb for the 600watt hps bulb on the same day Not sure what way to go about this as it’s my first grow.
  24. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using the Oxypoot Quad. 100 Liter all in one 4 plant reservoir. I've got a chiller, so I have the problem of circulating the nutes. Are these any good? Ive heard problems about root disease etc, but are they worth it compared to the chance of a leak if I built my own plumed RDWC system. Cheers for any info.
  25. I'm hoping you can help me. I'm trying to decide the best system for me and am stuck. I definitely want to go hydro having only ever done soil before. I've got a 1.2m x 2.4 tent and intitally I had thought autopot would be the way to go but after lots of research I'm leaning towards either 4 of the Oxypot XL (2 in each half of the tent) or going for a 4 pot R-DWC system (although there is the temptation to go for the 8 pot version and take some pots out if it' s too much?). I'm looking at getting either of these set ups from growell as I've got all my other bits there. The guy at the shop has suggested the 4 pot R-DWC system and the only thing that' s making me think twice is that the pots are 19litre oxypots. Compared with the Oxypot XL which has a 70 litre tank/pot, it seems small. I will be most likely sticking to 4 plants with a small possbility of doing a maximum of 8. I guess my natural instinct is with the 19 litre pots on the R-DWC I may need to do about 6 plants in my grow space and if i tried to scrog it with only 4 19litre pots, it would take ages? So would need the extra 2 pots to speed things up. Is this about right? Whereas I'm imagining with the 4 Oxypot XLs, the plants would be able to grow bigger roots and therefore get better yield and quality. It' s obviously a bit of a pain in the a** to fill up the 4 oxypot chambers instead of the 1 reservoir but I'm imagining it not being too difficult if I've cleared the lower branches as I could just get under my net to get access. 1 other issue regarding the Oxypot XLs is I'm not sure how to flush them weekly. Do i just get a pump and a bucket and access one of the sides of the pot? Is this quick and easy? I'm reasonably confident of controlling the environment and will buy a nutrient chiller. I've looked at the hailea models which look good. I believe they can be used in either a reservoir or with the 4 oxypot XLs? And also will need a nutrient heater/s. On a slight tangent, I've already ordered the autopot system from a shop but I haven't picked it up yet so I'll need to be relatively quick as I want to exchange it. On another slight tangent, I've also thought of the potential to connect the 4 oxypot XLs And turn it into a big R-DWC system? But I'm not that handy, although I do have a toolbox so may need help from my brother if it went that route. And I don't want to mess it up. Anyway guys, that's enough. I know some of the questions may be a bit noob but I don't want to buy the wrong system (which I think I already did with the autopot). Thanks,
