  1. Ok, I decided to finish the Critical+ 2.0 off in the shed growroom ... it was empty and why not? Pump up those buds a bit ... I hope she doesn't go the same way the PAKs did. Anyway, that's her out of the outdoor equation .. back to the Critical+ 1.0's !! Mid October .. I've busted out the dehumidifier and the Biogreen heater for the evenings .. too much at stake. These were taken a few days back .. the pistils have now started turning orange ... They can take as long as they like .. no expense spared!

    Butane Honey Oil

I think my current rig is up to about £2300 GBP , and the new bits will be an additional 400 or so.... It's a basic closed loop system, but of an extremely high quality. considering how dangerous this stuff can be, I would avoid the fuck out of cheap chinese stuff. I have a gas chamber, 2 braided hoses, a 1.5" tube with jacket, large lock off valve below the tube, and a catch vessel with shatter platter. pressure valves throughout the system, and multiple ports for double recovery and pulling vacs when needed through processing. without a vac oven you're screwed if you want quality. I'm insanely lucky - where I am is a haven for the canna scene - people just go on instagram for everything here now - flower, extract, edibles, clones, seeds, equipment, packaging, the lot! There's a crazy good network through the canna clubs so I've had a chance to meet many who are infinitely more experienced than I am..... It was a cryptic mystery a short time ago, but having humble experts willing to share quickly changes things! Any questions just hit me up brother Mangolato wax and a watermelon zkittles vape liquid -

  7. Hello all Just a quick thread for some feedback from the UK420 community When we started on UK420 with Dinafem around 7 years ago we had around a 20% rate of seeds for diaries. So out of every 20 packets given out only 4 woukd get grown not the best imo. Now, when I took over in 2014 for Dinafem and this time last year we brought HSO to UK420. It took a bit buy I managed to get that 20% rate up to a more respectable 80-90%. Meaning out of 20 members around 16-18 were following through. To me this is way better than 20% and acceptable Now this year something has changed and I'm not sure what. With the Humboldt outdoor thread we had over 50 members that got seeds. On my 15 followed through With the pot noodle challenge over 40 members. With only 15 actually taking part. Dinafem new strains. 10 members per strain. 2-4 members following through. The same with dinafem outdoors. Other years we have had a good 35 grows going outdoor. This year it's around 12-15. For some reason I'm just trying to figure out what's gone wrong? What do we do in the future? Do we do a blacklist? (I've always said yes to everyone) as a few members have taken part in every giveaway but never done a diary? Do we limit to members with diaries completed and have followed through in the past? But then how do we let new members/growers participate? Any thought from the community welcome Kind regards Mark..

    Problem in Hydro

Hey guys, I've done a few grows in soil many years ago recently started up again with a RDWC system. I have a few problems with my plants there currently 2 weeks old, popped in 1" Rockwool cubes and then put into there net pots with clay pebbles when some roots came through the bottom of the Rockwool. Currently sat under a dimmable 600w MH that I had turned down to 250w. On Monday the 15th I put them into their net pots and upped the light to 400w. The temps are currently sat at 24 with lights on. My nutes are advanced Sensi and rhizoblast root stimulants, currently feeding at 1.0ec with a background of 0.6. In my limited experience I think I have problems with heat stress and light stress maybe due to upping 400w too early and possibly having the light too close although it wasn't close enough to burn my hand. On the plants closest im getting a lot of curling of the edges of the leaves and yellowing of the tips. I've posted some pictures of the worst ones, also I have one plant that is lower down due to it not being in a net pot which make me believe this theory more. To makes matters worst I have two plants that have completely drooped over I think due to under watering I underestimated how much the clay pebbles would suck the water out of the small Rockwool cubes. Im basically asking for any ideas on anything else that could be causing these problems to make sure I catch it in time.

  9. Complete opposite - it was a fantastic summer, heatwave, records broken in most UK regions. But if anyone planted out late in the north west, maybe it was a normal “bad” year? What will happen for next season? Will we enjoy another Mediterranean summer or have to wait another 40 years till it returns? M

    Slow cooker decarb and butter

Next we need to line a bowl with a piece of muslin cloth. Take the pan off the heat and pour into the bowl, let it cool down a bit and the you lift the cloth and squeeze all the butter out of it into the bowl, just a word of warning the butter will be hot, I wear a pair of marigold gloves for this. Throw away the plant matter that is left in the cloth. I then pour the butter and water mix you are left with into a small Tupperware tub and put it in the fridge. I always leave it over night, when you take it out of the fridge it will have separated from the water, the solid butter is on top and the water is underneath. put a couple of holes in the butter and then pour away the water. When you remove the solid butter you will see some sludge on the bottom, scrape all this away with a knife and discard it. Once you have removed this layer of sludge then put the butter in a sauce pan and melt it, once melted pour it back in to a clean Tupperware mould and put it back in the fridge to set. Once set take it out of the mould again, this time there will be a tiny bit of sludge on the bottom which can be scraped off with a knife, once you have cleaned that off your butter is ready. It can be stored in the fridge for a little while but it’s best put in the freezer. I have to go to work now but I will be back to tell you how I make sure I have a constant supply of fresh biscuits when ever I need them.

    Building the mega bed

The majority of the upper colas chopped and giving the lower popcorn nugs a bit of light. You can see the colour change in the devil cookies. If you run it a bit later the whole plant goes that deep burgundy/black and the nugs take on a deep lavender. I chopped earlier as I wanted to try something different, have a jar full of couchlock already! I might leave a bit just to show it off. Some say you can't get the same colours without a flush, I totally disagree. I've had crazy colours in no till.

    Not Poodle

@HSO-Mark The molde cheese were the same mate, just grew really sturdy. This Bubba cutey is the same, Solid stem and side branches that are tough too. lovin' the Pot noodle voodie is all i know and going a bit nuts. That was my technical answer I really had to hold her with an outstretched arm and cam in other direction as far as i could reach to get her all in the pic, got me sweating buckets, not an easy shot to get. The stick out of the top of her in second pic is my ruler,,A piece of bamboo thats roughly 2 feet 4 inch's by the looks. A poor attempt at seeing how tall she is from the top of lid to tip I;ll grab my tape from work and do it properly soon. Need to get the string out for a good bondage sesh at the weekend...

  17. This is when keeping a diary goes from useful to invaluable, when other people look and offer feedback. I feel like I can take information forward for future grows and make improvements much quicker that I could if I was trying to figure it out on my own. Thanks again @botanics, I really do appreciate your help! @Breezus that is some fantastic information about ratios. I read a bit about your battles with excessive magnesium, very glad I don't have that to deal with. Thank you! Thank you for your nice comments @ComfortablyDumb great to have you with me again

  23. no disrespect, but you have to have a seed to get a plant to get a clone. seeds will always be valuable. with clones also you have to make sure your not getting any extras with them such as spider mites etc.. sam

    Growers Ark Bloom

It is mate yes. Youre supposed to add the desired amount of bloom (or grow), in your case 3ml per litre, then top up with extra traces taking the total amount to 5ml per litre. So you would also add 2ml per litre of extra traces.

  25. My Mum used to burn sage occasionally when she was going through her deep spiritual phase, and that smell always reminds me of the churchy/incense haze smell. Nerding out now, but a little digging about the terpenes in common sage species, found the table below. A crazy cocktail of some terps we're familiar with, and some I've personally never heard of. Maybe incensy Hazes just has a more complex terpene profile than your average weed plant, and that cocktail makes for the rare smell. Maybe. Sage terpenes:

  26. I am pretty sure the 'incense' is not a lone terpene, but rather a combination of terpenes in a magic kind of ratio. I always thought of it as a granny's perfume kind of smell rather than incense, but non smokers have smelt it and variously described it as a citrus smell although I don't get that at all. I suspect it's probably a mixture of myrcene and limonene which are in most.

  34. 18/10/2018 - Seedling Stage Ok folks a little update on how things are and are not progressing. So 2 X Cream Caramel F1 Fast Version seeds: 1 has germinated fine and is now a seedling. The other seed has still not germinated. 2 X Crystal Candy F1 Fast Version seeds: 2 X have germinated fine and are now seedlings. 2 X Sweet Seeds - Sweet Pure CBD seeds: 2 x still in the wet paper towel 1 x seed cracked open developed a 2mm tail and just stopped 1 X has done nothing. Now I will say the seeds that have not been successful where extremely tiny seeds and a couple of them where rather pale in colour compared to the ones that have germinated. Could well just be something I have done, never mind that's how it goes with seeds. I don't really like posting the negatives but all will be fine. Anyway I have put 1 x Cream Caramel F1 Fast Version seed into a wet paper towel and so far it seems to have germinated fine. I will put this one into coco shortly. I have also done the same with 2 X Sweet Pure CBD and so far 1 has germinated and has a tap root about 10mm long and will go into coco shortly. The other seed has split the shell but no further atm. I will post some images of the ones above ground once I get home tonight, they are just being given water so far and are doing grand. Toke...

Lifers get first refusal on diary seeds Subbies next And only a handful of standard members like myself get a chance. This would be a double edged sword as it's another good reason for people to subscribe. So helpful for joolz/the site. If folks are happy to put a hand in there pockets and pay a subscription it stands to reason they're unlikely to be the kind of shmuck who cadges freebies n fucks off without delivering. I'm not suggesting you totally exclude new members but at least keep the numbers to a minimum innit. Just thinking out loud really

  47. Well I think it’s well out of order if you have been generous enough to post out seeds all the way from Spain for free and then you get nothing back. Anyone who receives these test grow seeds could at least do small diary a couple of pages long, it wouldn’t take long. I have to admit I am shocked to see how few people keep their end of the deal, do you mean you get absolutely no feedback at all from the 80%, if so then that is really shit dude, these people are just freeloaders and 100% you should black list them otherwise the seed company’s are not going give them out in the future which is not fair on those of us who do give the feedback you guys needs. Sorry for ranting, this makes me quite sad.

  49. This Critical in the greenhouse is growing at a ridiculous rate .. how I wanted the autos to run had I got the pH right! I'd like to add a couple of late additions if I may? I had some cuts of my indoor PAK and C+2 grow left over ... I kept them over winter then put them out in the g/h around March/April because I needed the lighting space for this year's outdoor crop. Naturally they went into flower, so I left them, re-vegged them and now they're flowering naturally. I have 2 x cuts of the PAK .. one's supposed to be the pineapple cut, but they all tasted of pineapple when I tried 'em, so I've called 'em cut 1 and cut 2. Inspired, eh? Cut 1 .. earlier to flower but less vigorous .. Cut 2 ... more vigour, but slower to flower ... And the Critical+ 2 cut I had .. didn't know what to do with her .. so I'm flowering her outdoors, see what happens.
