Swaziland IBL - 17 year old genetics

Hello all, Something a little different. I decided to grow one of our local IBL sativa's that I had collected seeds from, a good 17+ years ago. There was something special about the weed we were getting back then, pure unadulterated Southern African sativas; all of which were IBL's. This has to be one of the longest growing sativas ever, at close to 16 weeks flowering. This specific pheno is a classic Swaziland sativa, very sativa in appearance but stays relatively short, with very dense flowers. She smells of ripe Mango with a good measure of citrus thrown in. She could've gone for a week longer, but I wanted to keep the sativa high where it should be.

    TRAIL CAMS

Thanks Ch@ppers! Glad to be back! Late august me and my mate where doing some maintenance on a (90 plants) plot. We where working there for over a hour ore so like we always did. Al of a sudden we hear al lot car doors nearby and barking dogs. We run off right away, when we run over like a 200 meters away we where seeing the whole bush area was surrounded by a gigantic (later we counted 15 cars and motorcycles) police force. Getting away was not a option because of the location, we where boxed in. We run back, hide ore bags and stuff in the woods and changed some cloths. We where thinking what our best option was, we agreed to just walk out on a path and act like we where just walking there. When we walked out they where on to us right away when they see us, not asking questions, immediately arresting us and searching us down. We where taken to the police station and put in a police cell. After a night police cell they started to question us. Of course we asked for a ‎solicitor and we did a no comment interview. They where saying they had camera images form the plot but strangely they didn't show it to us, so i thought it was bullshit. After 3,5 days they released us. We did get a court supoena for cultivating 90 plants right away. We asked the solicitors/lawyers for the court file a soon as possible, curious to find out what evidence they had on us. As a shock to us there where camera images/videos from us working on the plot on that day. They where looking at us live with a 4G cam when we did maintenance on the plants. We whore no mask ore any other face covering things so ore faces was right on there. The police somehow for whatever reason made a big cause about this plot. They did get a tip form a person who flown a drone over our plot in may, they went back there a mouth later. Flown over the plot with a police drone another month later to finally place a 4G security cam end of august. Whole shit show because off freaking 90 plants! In court we just sad almost nothing and let the lawyers/solicitors do there job. We just sad we where there that day, nothing more. Because of technical errors and not enough proof the plants belong to us we walked away with not guilty because off lack of evidence. Lessons learned: - Use (4G) wildcams for security - Be aware of wildcams, search your plots first when you enter - Always hide your face - Use different set of clouths - make your big plots less visible from the air

    Later Ugorg strains

The Footloose experience... Footloose p2 Super exotic super sharp and super potent...this plant has it all...this genotype won some underground cups last year with her exquisite bouquet of aromas and her hit like a hammer Grows with so much vigor and spreads out all over the place claiming any space that is yet unclaimed. The taste is just like the smell...sublime...it lingers on your pallet and clothes for an age and everybody knows you have been smoking the flames even if you havent any on you in person...this particular genotype is so penetrating it has destroyed carbon filters no mater what brand or the age of filter it just pushes it all to a maximum...shes my keeper Footloose p3 This was also known as the K.A black grape soda genotype...i mean this was straight up candy soda in a flower. Personally for me its not quite my thing so i passed her on to a friend of mine but again the aromatic aromas of candied black grape where unmistakable, friends loved it but for me it wasnt my flavor profile. She also grew with much vigor with super cool looking tight flowers of spear shaped heads that turned a nice purple hue with maturity [although they all have that potential] Footloose p4 This one i called the Cali Killer...boulders of pure cookie dominate gas and when i say boulders i mean boulders that would break a window, Tight flowers with lots of clusters it was almost like a Disco Biscuit 2.0 it was a serious contender, Cookie gas with the hard hitting edge that the cookie brings also a colorful flower when matured. Again this grew with real vigor and i did a few cycles with it before deciding to let it go. So there is my assessment of the Footloose for those that are interested due to growing it out the first time or for those that are interested in scooping a packet...i will go as far as saying probably in my top 3 plants from seed to date Farmer G

Sooo.. after nearly getting rumbled prepping my super cheeky covid plot (5 min walk from mine) I decided to scrap it and seeing as travel restrictions have bin eased, I have expanded my main plot to about 3.5 times the size. (88m sq) should be able to get them all in. Was one hella graft! The soil is ridiculous. You could bag it n sell it. Reclaimed land. Whilst digging over 88m sq I found 2 stones... 2! Silty goodness!

  15. here is one for the record books... last time i visited my plot i turned over my (used) compost pile and added a couple extra organic ferts and walked away... yesterday i went to add more compost to the pile (another 150ltr) and turn it over again... so while im digging away im pulling out nettles as i get to them (easier once roots are exposed, can just grab and pull without getting stung... as you can see the nettles are around the edges... so im there filling my pot to pile it in a diff pile obliviously obviously and just pulling the roots of the nettles... a good 15 min in and i went to grab this one.. only as i bent down to grab it i got a whiff of weed.. thats when i think my eyes actually focused on what i was grabbing ... i was like wtf!! thats a weed plant!! i pulled it from the compost and it had quite a long stem before the 1st node of leaves.. so my theory is that: last year i did some breeding... and the very most bottom underbud that also had seeds in but 99 out of 100 looked uncooked , not ripe or anywhere close so they got dashed as far as possible.... im thinking a seed must of fell out and landed in the compost pile.. must of been pretty deep in there too!! so ofc, if this little beauty survived the winter and smells lush... germinated all by itself with no help whatsoever .. it would be rude not to see how she/he turns out.. could be a pho period, could be semi auto, nobody knows!

  19. How's it going everyone? First time grower here. Always been interested in Hydro growing and spent countless hours planning but not got round to it yet. Decided that this year will be my first grow, and will be a Guerilla grow as lockdown has freed up a lot of time and the need to get out the house is higher than ever. We first broke ground on 20th April 2020 which is quite fitting, don't you think? Although not at 16:20 as that was smoking time of course... As the decision to GG was made quite late, we've not had time to make soil amendments in advance but this will be done well in advance in time for next year. I've enlisted the help of two very close friends who will join me on this adventure. We go by the name of the Yellow Handle Bandits... For reference, we are pretty much bang on Lat 52. The Plots: We are using two 'main' locations this year, with multiple plots dotted around each of the two main locations, bringing our total number of plots close to 10 (of various sizes). Each plot will have between 5-10 plants at each, dependent on size of plots/quality of soil/security etc. We've spent a lot of hours chopping overgrowth & bramble and we are currently on site 5 of ten. As we are staggering plant out, we have some time to get the final 5 plots complete in time for the final phases. The soil at each site is honestly amazing (See below pics). Very airy, dark brown and loads of worms. Nettles are in abundance, and grow very tall. Lot's of stupidly thick bramble too, which leads me to believe the soil is nice and fertile. The Strains After researching strong-performing strains in our climate, I think we've made the wise decision to use RGSC Seeds. Shout out to @panik for getting them to my door less than 24 hours after making the order. Also big ups for the freebies We have the following strains ready for germinating... Affie Daze Mighty Gold Green Gold Gorilla Haze Fighting Gorilla (Not RGSC, had one freebie) DFG Easy Sativa x Skunk The 7 I have my eyes on MWF too from Alfemco, but we'll see how far our budget stretches before pulling the trigger on them Not like we don't have a lot of choice currently anyway. The Plan The plan is to germinate in waves, i'm thinking 4 waves of between 15 & 20 plants, beginning with germinating the first wave at the beginning of next week. Each seed will be germed via paper towel method, then potted into either Jiffy pots, or normal 8cm round pots. Jiffy pots were recommended on a thread by Panik, but are harder to find (especially making sure they're legit Jiffy products). I plan to use Tropic Mix soil (growshop sites says it contains 40% coco, 60% peat and contains calcium and magnesium to a ratio of 2:1. There's no perlite in this mix and the pH is apparently 6.5). I'll keep each plant/wave indoors for 3 weeks, inside a custom built propagation box using T5 lighting (2 tube). I will slowly acclimatise each wave during the last week of them being indoors, by taking them outside for a few hours. We will then begin planting out on a weekly basis beginning June 1st up until June 29th until all are out. (See below schedule) I need to reconfirm our order of planting, keeping in mind approx. finishing times. I also need to confirm which plants are going at what sites based on a few factors. The soil has been turned over at five sites currently, and Growmore fertiliser has been applied to each of the five completed sites, before being raked in and dampened with 6.5pH mineral water. The sites all receive direct, uninterrupted sunlight for pretty much the whole day. At a minimum from 11am-7pm. (I have yet to be on site before 11am to check sun position, though I imagine they will receive sunlight much earlier than 11am) Threats We plan to keep all wildlife away from our plants using various means and methods necessary. So far we've spotted deer (only twice) and rabbits (every visit) but both have been away from our sites and not too close for comfort, yet... We plan to border each individual site with chicken wire at the perimeters, before caging each plant in chicken wire. I plan to bury a few inches of the chicken wire to reinforce against wind (also using bamboo stakes) and to stop any animals digging under the cages. I've also read about homemade deer and rabbit repellents using things like garlic, chillies , soap & ammonia etc. I think I will cook up some batches of this and spray around the wider area (away from plants and before the initial perimeter chicken wire fencing) Inside each cage, I plan to have cut down bits of waste pipe (10cm diameter, 15cm height), cut one side into spiky edges with a multitool, buried two inches (non serrated side), to protect the young plants against slugs. We will most likely be making mini copper wire electric fences to deter slugs, too. These will be attached to the waste pipe spiked 'collar'. We are confident that the site is away from prying eyes and is a massive, massive ball-ache to get to. Although we are toying with the idea of a couple of trail cams (to be honest I think we will buy some in the next couple weeks) That's all information for now. I have a few questions i'll leave below for anyone that could provide some assistance. I would be very grateful! - Jiffy vs 'normal' 8cm pots. Both should provide similar results, right? - Has anyone had any experience with Tropic Mix for seedlings? - Is 4ft chicken wire fencing tall enough? Bearing in mind I want to bury a couple of inches of them? - Will burying the waste pipe & chicken wire 2-4inches in the soil interfere with the root systems? - Is the 2 tube T5 sufficient lighting for the quantity of plants? Bearing in mind the below schedule, the most that will be propagating at one time is 45x? Thanks in advance. Pull up a seat and enjoy. This is going to be a picture-heavy diary if all goes to plan. SCHEDULE May 11th: Germinate 15x (15x in propagation) May 18th: Germinate 15x (30x in propagation) May 25th: Germinate 15x (45x in propagation) June 1st: Germinate 15x and remove first week's 15x for plant out (45x in propagation) June 8th: Germinate 15x and remove second week's 15x for plant out (45x in propagation) June 15th: Remove third week's 15x for plant out (30x in propagation) June 22nd: Remove fourth week's 15x for plant out (15x in propagation) June 29th: Remove fifth week's 15x for plant out (All out of propagation) TWO PLOTS OUT OF FIVE, ALL PLOTS BASICALLY LOOK THE SAME (Just slightly varying sizes) GB

Cos he’s a thick twat, iv watched his videos on YouTube and he’s in plots with white tops and jeans talking loud even tho you can hear traffic and see houses in background Hes trying to make out you need to take loads of compost, perlite and loads of other stuff to have a successful grow I seen a video of him tipping bits of each product, one by one into holes, taking ages, then mix it together inside the hole, I told him if he is to go down that road to at least pour them all in a pile and mix it, then just fill the holes with it already mixed, would save loads of time , but he didn’t listen. One of those muppets who got two seasons under his belt and now thinks he’s an expert. Him and his 500 buckets and a self dug pond in his plots Wanker

  34. Most elite clones are just famous not elite. Most of the breeder cuts doing the rounds are just a good 10 packs keeper. Agreed on the breeding. Most of em are making an untested male. Putting him on every single household name cut in the library and releasing all the crosses without testing. Some are even worse than that. Bulk buying seeds from Spain and putting them in their own packs and selling em etc. Alot of the dutch have lost their parent stock over the years and they're releasing hugely inferior versions of what they had before in the same packs. More thought and work has gone into the subbies seeds than most of the seeds on most seedbanks. You know something funny is going on when UK underground breeders with extremely limited space and having to hide can do better work than most usa breeders with none of the above issues.

  38. Greetings and welcome to another coco and LED excursion This will be my third run under the stunning fixtures from @diyleduk - PAR+ 275 in the parlour of adolescence (120x60x120cm) 2 x Growmau5 Logic 500 in the house of many flowers (240x120x220cm) Since finding a good keeper on my hunt for sativa doms, I'm focusing my attention towards something a bit heavier for now. Since making the switch to vaping, the sats are getting me high as a kite - need some balance in my life I got interested in Emerald Mountain's Royal kush crosses after watching an interview with Ben, liking their approach, and seeing some diaries / photos around here. My first choice was the Royal Limez - (ZkittleZ x Black Lime Reserve) x Royal Kush. I found them at a reduced price, but after making my order the vendor got back to me - they were out of stock but would I like two packets of whatever's left instead? I do already have some OGKZ finishing up and can't turn down a deal like that, so snapped up: Tinky Winky Lineage: (Black triangle X Royal kush) X (Triangle Kush X 88 g13 Hash Plant) Flowering Time: 8-9 Weeks Yield: High Terps: Pungent fuel with gassy, yet fruity undertones "Pungent fuel with gassy, yet fruity undertones" is what I imagine the inside of a Teletubbies' costume to smell like, wonder if that's where they got the name? Eh-Oh! Tasting sounding weed tho. Queen's Candy Lineage: Sunset Sherbert X Royal Kush Flowering time: 9 weeks indoor Yield: Medium/ High Terps: Sweet vanilla and cream with notes of fuel, citrus and berries I sampled a few Sherbet crosses a while back that had a thick creaminess and a full body slam - notes of citrus/fuel would have been a nice addition. Let's see... They're regulars, and since I need 8 good females for flowering I've decided to put down 10 of each. I soaked coco jiffy plugs in 2ml/l Grower's Ark Root Tonic and 3ml/l First Feed, gave them a little squeeze, and planted the seeds straight in. Into a prop they go, in a little clone tent with single tube T5 above it (QX-75 not here yet ) Environment has been solid at 24.5-26°C and RH of 70-75%. 60 hours or so later we have life, and suggestions of life to come: I'll update in a few days when there's some more action. Hope you're all safe and well, thanks for reading

    THE NEW / OGKZ

Mornin' The missus has found the resonant frequency of my inner peace with her snoring So I thought I'd get up 6AM and snap some photos before lights-out... Day 49. I've had to get busy providing some extra support for the bigger plants. OGKZ #1 & #4 are absolute monsters, over 30 tops on the one, each getting heavier by the day and starting to fall into one another. My cane, screen and string configuration is being tested to the limit - got a feeling I may have to start stringing them to the ceiling of the tent at this rate. 6 weeks veg would have been more than enough for these. They're drinking almost twice as fast as some of the other plants - always a compromise with the irrigation duration / frequency. The res will get a scrub later and filled with just 5ml/l Flush It for the rest of the grow. This approach worked out well on my last run with different finishing times. The quickest to finish tasted adequately flushed, and the late finishers didn't appear too starved at the end. Impossible to check as thoroughly as I'd like, but no signs of a nad or nana so far. Lil d’s Scope 220 living soil

Hello Lockdown Led lovers Day 27 but Photos from Day 25, light is on 150w temps are a steady 22-26c i have top dressed with a few hand fulls of life cycle, neem meal and MPB and watered in with 2l of water with added biosys. This should now provide everything the pot needs to the end of this cycle. I have trimmed the clover cover crop too as it made a comeback, this along with any leaves blocking busites is also put back into the pot. Water uptake has increased as the flowering cycle has settled in so i take this as a good sign the plants are taking what they need from the pot. Smells have started to increase and i must say the serious seeds AK47 is lovely atm strong lime and acrid notes to the aroma and the Zkitzzo x mac f1 is like sweet sherbert also the leaves are red/purple underneath so im expecting lots of colour from this girl. Pics WORMS!!!! Underside Well thats it for now folks, Peace Lil d.

They will spend a day in the water and then into little pots of fresh coco. Once there is something to see I will start posting the photos and info in my normal way. The Sherbinski - San Bacio Gelato and Sherbinski - Sunrise Sherbert seeds will join in with this diary once they arrive. For now that's it. Fuck paranoia, you've stuck some illegal plants in the ground, most plod couldnt give a fuck, its not a heroin refining poppy farming operation. We have a right to grow our own cannabis (indoors or outdoors) and distance ourselves from the shady criminal underworld, it might not be wrote in to law but its ingrained in the fabric of who we are. Fuck the police and their shitty chopper. WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER.
