    PFNC: Official Warning re Monsanto

I read today that Monsanto and other mega businesses are getting into the legalised canna-economy over the pond. I predict: Soon they will quietly buy up existing "breeders" operations, especially those in the Femmed seed industry. They will buy up the Auto-strains too. Then, bit by bit, they will get the control of all Brand Names such as "Skunk" or "White Widow". End result: you will be dependent on them for all your seed. Your cannabis will be in their hands? Happy with that? If you're not happy you must immediately do two things: 1) Buy loads, and I mean shed-loads, of the strains you prefer, in their Regular format. 2) Read up pronto on hack-crossing. Read all oldtimer1 has posted here about this. His insights and experience are second to none. 3) Start hack-crssing asap. Store the seed in your fridge/freezer. Of course, I could be wrong. But I'd stake my wrinkly old arse-cheeks on my not being so. This prediction/warning brought to you from the General's desk at PFNC.co.uk Tootle-pip, canna-peeps; keep it green, keep it natural, keep it FREE!

  4. Aside from the hijacking of the term skunk by the prohibitionist/addiction industry (they are one and the same thing but more about that another time), one of my biggest bugbears is that this new form of cannabis aka ‘skunk’ is presented as a life threatening, psychosis causing dangerous drug that is tearing communities apart. Now I don’t know about you, but as a long term functioning stoner, I smell bullshit. The first thing to remind yourself when the hysterics start is that this is nothing new. In the 1920’s ‘reefer madness’ was used to try and scare the population into thinking that smoking cannabis turns you into a murdering rapist! Such claims are patently absurd, and led by the ignorance of the press and governments, we haven’t really moved on. The use of the word ‘skunk’ to mean any high potency strain is nothing short of ignorant and demonstrates a complete dearth of user input into the whole cannabis debate. Why doesn’t someone just ask a cannabis consumer? You’d get the truth and a coherent answer instead of the current drugs clusterfuck that the UK establishment has colluded to preside over. There are many well-meaning people in that debate that are open minded, pragmatic and willing to listen. But within the world of policy lobbying and professional rehabilitation services there is an equal, if not greater number of people who think they know what’s best for you and will dismiss your opinion as irrelevant because you don’t have a PhD in such and such and they are an expert and you should listen to them even though they’ve never rolled a joint in their lives. Many experienced and mature ‘cannasseurs’ intimately know cannabis at a pharmacological level and are hugely informed and competent when it comes to talking about this particular drug. A little research will tell you that GW Pharma, one of the only producers of cannabis under license in the UK use a strain derived from an all time classic known as Skunk #1 from which they make Sativex, a whole plant extract (i.e. it gets you high) to treat Multiple Sclerosis. Now tell me this. If ‘skunk’ is so dangerous and causes psychosis, a plant with no medicinal benefit (their words not mine), ask yourself why it’s ok for a large pharmaceutical company to make psychoactive medicine out of the very strain so demonised by media and politicians alike. Then you will start getting some sense of who really controls the prohibition agenda. You see, the prohibitionists love to pretend the weed of yesteryear wasn’t as strong whilst in the same breath, they hand over lucrative contracts and tax breaks to big Pharma to grow the very strain they have demonised and misrepresented so badly. Another trick of these prohibitionists is that they like to sound like scientists by saying that old fashioned hash had a higher ‘CBD’ content so was less dangerous from a psychosis causing hysteria perspective. We know that Cannabis does not cause psychosis because 100 odd years ago, the Indian Hemp Commission undertook what is still the largest population study of cannabis use and scientifically and systematically proved that cannabis does not cause psychosis. Prohibitionists have used all this as a major scare tactic for decades. That this new street skunk stuff turns you into a psycho… Reefer madness anyone? We’ve been here so many times before. But let’s just bust the myth, often trotted by the prohibitionists (who incidentally probably smoked themselves at university without becoming heroin addicts) is: “That the old hash we smoked was much milder than this modern stuff” Well, actually, no it was in fact much stronger. I recently tweeted about the time that the cannabis supplying network of the small Welsh village in which I was brought up, managed to get it’s hands on 2 Kg of yellow Lebanese hash. It was 1993 and was a summer to remember.! To this day, I have not smoked anything stronger than that fine hessian wrapped Yellow Leb. I can still smell it now, a beautifully crafted artisanal product. Soft, yellow a sticky it was so fresh you could break it open with your hands and its aroma was so complex it was simply mouthwatering. It remains the finest form of cannabis that I have ever sampled and believe me, I’ve sampled a pretty good selection of cannabis in all its various forms over the years.! Bordering on the hallucinogenic, the effects of this fantastic hash were further accentuated when taken in edible form since the body receives the full hit of cannabinoids providing they have been suitably activated (usually by heat in the cooking process). All cannabis is much stronger when you ingest it so strength is also determined by how you use it. Hashish is made by collecting the resin glands of the plant – these trichomes are then usually pressed and the type of hash is determined by the collection technique. In Morocco and much of the Middle East, cannabis plants are harvested and dried. They are then sieved and this seivieing action removes the THC laden resin glands from the leaf and flowers of the plant. The collected sift is then pressed under weight into the blocks of resin that ‘we’ all remember so fondly (it never really went away though – another myth peddled to distort reality). In Asia, specifically India, resin is collected by hand rubbing the plant whilst it is fresh. This ‘live resin’ produces a beautifully sticky perfumed and potent hash. Both of these forms of hashish are a concentration of THC. They are therefore significantly stronger than any modern herbal form. So when we hear – “the hashes are milder” arguments I cant stop laughing. Go to Amsterdam; find yourself a menu of a coffee shop that shows tested THC content. Look at all the weed, and then look at the Hash. It’s like beer or wine vs spirits. And if we start thinking of cannabis in such comparative terms then we might start helping the public who don’t know anything about it, to begin to understand it by referencing to a social norm that they most probably are familiar with. Notice that you don’t ever hear anyone shrieking about super strength alcohol. Even though you can purchase whiskey at 60%abv and many spirits at even higher potency. We don’t go for those with breakfast on a Monday morning before going to work though do we? The Italians may have a shot or two of grappa after a big meal. We may enjoy a cold beer or two on a nice summers afternoon. We may chose a fine bottle of red to have with our Christmas Lunch. We don’t round scaremongering, referring to all alcohol as meths and saying that even a sniff of it will turn you blind, so lets not make the same mistake with cannabis. Let’s stop this bullshit, hanging onto prohibition like a dear friend, clinging to any negative we can, rather than admit that cannabis is ok. Morally we cannot say otherwise if we actively encourage alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and sugar can we? All of those drugs can lead to limb loss, cancer, blindness but lets not dwell on that too much because it will affect sales. The current vogue for claiming that street weed is much higher potency is spurious at best. Give two seeds to two different people to grow of the same strain and you will get huge variations in THC content between plants of the same strain. The person doing the growing will also affect (intentionally or otherwise) THC content. Analysis of samples may well show an increasing potency but take those figures with a pinch of salt. How long have we been collecting analysis on seized cannabis? THC content is not uniform across all plants and certainly not strain dependent. As a regular cannabis consumer, I can tell you all now that there IS a call for high strength cannabis. It’s perfectly enjoyable just as a glass or two of malt whiskey is. But there’s a time and a place for it as with everything in life. Given that you can’t overdose on THC there really are bigger things we should be putting our energies into rather than creating an industry of false concern about strong weed! Whilst we’re at it, lets start using the correct terminology. Skunk is a heritage strain. It has fantastic medicinal value as GW Pharma will testify. It’s forgiving, and easy to grow, producing some huge yields even for the first time grower, a delight! And most ironically of all, the skunk family have a relatively high CBD content, the very anti psychotic chemical that is somehow missing in all modern cannabis. How ironic then that killer psychosis causing skunk is actually anything but and in fact resembles more closely the old harmless hash that Cameron and Blair used to chug through with Howard Marks in Oxbridge! Prohibitionists have run out of excuses. “Super strength killer street skunk” type headlines will soon be recognised for what they are – hysteria. They’ve lost the gateway drug argument, they’ve lost the psychosis argument only this week, and now, they’ll lose the ‘killer skunk’ argument also.

  5. Hi Inside the UK's first 'legal' Cannabis club: Founder charges £35-a-year for people to smoke drugs and play pool in a scheme BACKED by police Daily Mail A cannabis club charges £35-a-year for people to smoke drugs and play pool in a scheme backed by police in a UK first. Michael Fisher set up Teesside Cannabis Club four years ago, and says 'the world is a very different place' since then. The 'legal' club is based in Durham Constabulary's policing area - one of five forces in Britain which no longer actively pursues cannabis smokers and small-scale growers. The club has been visited by celebrities including Professor Green and Jeremy Kyle. Buying and selling drugs at the club - a registered company based in a warehouse on an industrial estate - is prohibited, but it makes money through the sale of tickets to special events and refreshments, and can make up to £3,000 a night. Mr Fisher, also known as John Holliday, has been a longstanding campaigner for cannabis to be de-criminalised and believes the 'Club Exhale' model - which allows up to 180 people to use cannabis in a safe and controlled space - could be replicated across the UK. North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Arfon Jones visited the Middlesbrough-based club to learn about how it works - and he backed the scheme. He said: 'What we've had here is a lot of success, in 14 months, where we've gone from about 60 to 70 members to around 180 people. 'The conversation around cannabis is changing and it is becoming more acceptable to talk about. We don't feel the need to hide in the shadows about it. 'Something I would like to see is more clubs, across the country. Ron Hogg (Police and Crime Commissioner in Durham) and I have a very good relationship, and I think it would be logical for one to open there. One in North Wales as well. 'Then in 12 months time, we would have a strong evidence base to take to Government and show them how this model works.' Mr Fisher, 33, claimed cannabis is the 'world's most valuable resource' and believes the Government is missing out on a multi-billion pound industry. He says tax from potential controlled sales of cannabis at clubs like on Teesside - and others across the UK - could go to the Treasury rather than into the black market, and keep users away from criminal gangs. Users regularly gather at the Teesside Cannabis Club, and use cannabis in a 'consumption room'. Mr Fisher insists there have been no criminal problems linked to the club. He added: 'We do not cause any problems or harm. Using cannabis is technically illegal but we have a relationship with the local force, we have never had any issues with disorder at the club or our events, we do not allow alcohol - and it seems that most problems with anti-social and violent behaviour are linked to alcohol. 'We have a great relationship with our local police force, although they are not as outspoken as some about cannabis use, they've been very supportive. 'We are very open with the police.' Durham PCC Mr Hogg has worked with the club for a number of years. Mr Jones was the latest visitor, as he coincided his trip with the Hartlepool Utd v Wrexham game at Victoria Park. He has backed the use of cannabis medicinally, and said: 'I visited Teeside Cannabis Club because I wanted to see how it was run. 'The members bring their own cannabis, it isn't grown on the premises and they're not dealing or supplying. 'They pay an annual membership fee to be a member of what is a social club where they go to use cannabis. 'There are 150 members paying £35 a year and why not? There are pubs and clubs where people go and drink alcohol so why shouldn't consenting adults be able to use cannabis recreationally and without causing anyone any harm and the location is such that there is no NIMBYism.' Cleveland Police said in 2015 it would continue to 'operate within the law as it exists' when it comes to dealing with drug crime - despite plans by Durham to stop actively pursuing low-key cannabis users. Avon & Somerset Police, Dorset, Derbyshire and Surrey Police have taken a similar stance on cannabis smoking. WHICH POLICE FORCES TURN A BLIND EYE TO CANNABIS SMOKING? The latest figures available show that more than two million people in England and Wales smoke cannabis. Crime Survey figures show a million of these are aged between 16 to 24. The substance is currently a Class B drug in the UK, and anyone found in possession can face up to five years in prison. Selling the drug can get someone 14 years in prison and an unlimited fine. The same punishment exists for giving it to friends for free. It is illegal to be under the influence of cannabis while driving, and can result in a prison sentence and disqualification. On the streets, the average price of an ounce of cannabis tends to be in the region of £200. This is often enough for 40 joints, depending on how strongly people roll them. Reports suggest that around 270 tons of cannabis is consumed every year in Britain - which would equate to around £8.6 million at the aforementioned pricing. Some 80 per cent of this is grown here and not imported. But during 2011/2012, in excess of 1.1million plants were seized by police - with an estimated street value of £207 million. But five police forces in the UK have relaxed their laws on smoking cannabis and growing it for personal use. Avon & Somerset Police, Derbyshire, Dorset and Surrey have taken a relaxed stance on cannabis smoking. A spokesman for Avon & Somerset Police said in 2016: 'We do not proactively seek out people who use cannabis but we do take a rigorous approach to dealing with anyone found in possession of it and they will always be dealt in one of a number of ways. 'They will either be offered intervention, such as educational programmes, given a caution, asked to voluntarily attend a police station for interview or they may be arrested. 'We regularly receive information from the public about suspected cannabis cultivation sites. As the public would expect we research that intelligence and act on what we're told.' http://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?/forum/36-cannabis-news/&do=add 50 Comments at this time Top Hitter Kyliee, Sitting prettily somewhere, United Kingdom It sounds like a realistic and perfectly reasonable and sensible step in the right direction. Chong's Choice in Paradise

Hi UK420, after winning these seeds in the Paradise crimbo competition it's time to do a diary of them. Here they are.... I had a huge grin ripping the packets open that had a picture of Tommy Chong on them, as I was well into cannabis when UP In Smoke was released and watched it countless times I'm betting maybe I have a bigger grin when enjoying the harvest Chong's Choice will be grown in reused coco in a 2.4 x 1.2m tent, with a mix of hps and led lighting and using rhizotonic with Bionova a+b to feed them. Plan to finish in 6 L pots All 9 seeds were soaked in water for 18 hrs at 24 degrees then into pre warmed seedling soil in small pots in the heated propagator, 48 hours later all 9 appeared within a few hours of each other. Really delighted at the 100% germ rate. Hoping that's a good sign for grow ahead They went under the 110W fluorescent propagation light today and are a couple of days old. Looking forward to all 3 strains for sure, first Paradise grow

    Cauliflower Steaks

How can it even be called a cauliflower steak though, its just a fucking slice, but you can't charge silly money or mug people off by calling them a cauliflower slice. I'm gonna start removing the hard bit inside a parsnip, slice it thin and call it parsnip bacon, then sell it to muggy hipsters in Shorditch in an artisinal paisley and seaweed roll, with mohair ketchup and dust salad for 9 quid a pop.

Any new Dinafem strains for 2018?

I will chime in my friend and let you know all I can with out sacrificing my private parts Yes last year was a huge year for our high cbd strains with only 1 high thc strain being Remo chemo released. We are getting ready to drop 4-7 new strains in the coming weeks and as soon as I can tell you the names I will. Let me see if I can do this cryptically Only 1 strain is high cbd which should please the higher thc growers and this will be an auto The other 5 I know of I can not say much other than 2 are crossed to one of our most popular strains we released over the last 3 years. To great 2 new strains and a possible new line (both high thc and going to be popular) 2 older strains with a little modification are coming The final one I can not say other than it is very sticky a bit like errm super something That's all I can say for now. Info is coming and as soon as I can tell you I'll get all info up and seeds out to get "new strain" grows going Going to get crazy with new strain grows and the outdoor competitions in 2018. HPS Vs LED surprize

So here are two big threads I wrote about plant lighting and how to light a grow room: I'm afraid to say that this thread and your grow proves nothing when it comes to showing how your lighting units perform against the other, and lux only tells us how well our eyes will perceive brightness from a source - great if you're looking at lighting your front room or photographs. So unless you know the total PPF output of all your lamps, the only way too know for sure would be to isolate your 400w from 400w of your LED unit, using the same clone in both areas and treating them the same and measuring the end result. You are currently lighting a space with mixed lighting, so even the plant under the sodium won't give you an accurate yield representation from that lighting unit due to the very nature of how a sodium leaves a foot print of light compared to an LED unit. Sodiums have a rectangular foot print where as most LEDs have very direct square foot prints, which means the LED units won't spill into the centre of your area very much at all, where as your sodium will be spilling over quite considerably to both sides of the area. Also Co2 is effective in flower, but just scaling Co2 up won't achieve much you have to scale everything up with it, like feed and lighting. No use ramping up the ambient Co2 to 1500 ppm when you can't even achieve 700 ppfd of light.

  22. Yeah she has done a very good job I think, doctors recommendations and evidence of it working, and it being clinially tested approved Bedrocan oil all go in favor, also respect her for refusing to turn to the black market and do it in secret, because as she said why should she when the arguments for allowing it legally are so strong. Shes also done well getting the attention of the press and getting the issue out there. Go Alfies mum go!

Pay for the privilege of sitting in a draughty old industrial shed on flimsy old chairs, and maybe hit a few balls around a battered old pool table, whilst smoking my own gear - or smoke my own gear in the comfort of my warm home, sofa, HDTV and sound system? What direction is this hoping to go in?

what seeds - where to buy in uk

@skorpio777 You have missed the point of my post ENTIRELY You are asking, in a part of the forum run by a seed company who sell seeds, where to buy seeds.............off them might be polite if your in there forum. Look at what/where you have posted this and tell me that again. As has been suggested, look at the breeders on the site, they offer a reliable product.........like femaleseeds.nl whos forum you have posted in asking where to buy seeds. Yeild should not be such a concern for your first grow, learning how a plant grows is, with this comes yeild. You can hit a gpw with almost any strain. Doing that is up to you and all the high yielding strains in the world wont help you do that unless you learn how to grow. edit to add, in case you missed the banner/ might make a penny drop https://www.femaleseeds.nl/en

Will any of the locals see any of the millions you might make...Arjan says no, that is the way the business works....actually saying that he does not give a fuck as long as he and Franco get paid. I feel that many agree that the way pharmafia works is not beneficial for the people, and to claim that they now do the same as those conglomerates and therefor it is ok does not float for me.

  36. An open letter to Nick Hurd MP Leave a reply 21st February 2018 Dear Mr. Hurd, Yesterday in Parliament, Mr. Crispin Blunt MP asked the Government to make a statementregarding the case of Hannah Deacon, who is fighting for access to cannabinoids to treat her son Alfie’s rare form of epilepsy. You responded that you and the Government “sympathised deeply” and that you “understand and respect the desire of the family to try to alleviate his suffering in any way possible” It is obvious Mr. Hurd that you do not understand at all, Alfie suffers from a rare form of epilepsy that is life-threatening; it is not a case of a parent trying to “alleviate suffering”, it is a case of a desperate parent trying to save the life of their seriously ill child. You also pointed out that supplying cannabis “is unlawful”, my friends and I at www.budbuddies.co.uk are fully aware of that, we have been forced into breaking this unjust, cruel law for the past 18 years. I can assure you that the decision of a parent to administer cannabinoids to their seriously ill child is not one lightly taken, indeed I know that the serving police officer who asked me to supply her with cannabinoids for her terminally ill child gave it a lot of thought. As you are well aware, the decision to reschedule cannabis is not within the remit of the Secretary of Health, it is solely at the discretion of the Home Office; up until 1971 doctors could prescribe cannabis preparations, please persuade the Home Secretary to permit them to do so again. It is ironic that 100 years ago Suffragettes who could access cannabis for their terminally ill children fought the Government for the right to vote and today their great, great grandchildren can vote but have to fight for access to cannabis medications. This Friday, myself and a group of Mothers will be at Parliament to support MP Paul Flynn’s private member’s bill. I will be there in possession of cannabis oil with the intent to supply to the Mother of a dying child, which as you are well aware is a criminal act. By rescheduling and permitting doctors to prescribe cannabis the Government will not only be assisting seriously ill people but also aiding me to not be a criminal, please help us. I've been a smoker for 20years and a grower for 18 years and this has really impressed me And yes all I've kept a mother of her Thanks Hso mark for the beans yet again T.O.B #ukbudcrew

    Making Bhang - the recipe's on 420

I'm getting low on cubes, so I thought I'd make some more..... First get bits together, cuboid makers, saucepans etc., etc., then weigh it out - 15 grams twice to make sure and then just follow the recipe.......... without hot water-> with hot water-> then bubble & stir it all gently mortar and pestle it adding the items listed on the recipe............ after straining through muslin, gently heat n' mix it all together pour it into the cuboids....... .....freeze it and after a couple of hours you get cuboids in the making, by the time I've finished I should have enough for the next 3 months I get 24 cubes per blue tray, 2 trays in each layer and 21 from the other one. This all took less than an hour, however with all the tasting and sipping to ensure quality control (as yer do)...... ...getting pix together is real brain damage stuff, so the bits I missed out means that if you make some then you'll get the ones I couldn't take. I do get completely shitfaced while I'm making it, as it's taken me most of the rest of today to put it on 420 Bom Shiva

Fingers crossed, maybe i might be able to find somewhere again many years from now, or maybe the Government will legalize growing it

  44. a couple of summers ago ... my mate amd neighbour calls me over about 5.30pm saying hed made space brownies ... we have a lump the size of a 20pack of cigs ,,,, then a beer ..... nothin so we try another lump each and decide to have the bright idea of testing his new bong in the shed ..... we leave the women chatting in the kitchen and head for the mancave 2 bongs later and we are both laughing hystericaly at anythin and everything ..... till it actually hurt .... mate suddenly stops laughing .. turns whiter than a snowmans nutsack and keels over .... and i mean keels over ....... straight as a pin ...like a fekin tree going down ... OBVIOUSLY i shout timmmberrr as loud as i can and again collapse into hysterical laughter ... then I start feeling woozy and giddy like someone had put the world into fast forward ...... and tied weights to my eyelids ....... i try to get to the door and realise my legs have a mind of their own ... after hitting the shed floor i decide it best to crawl up the garden to let the girls know somethings gone tits up .... just got outside the door and yakked up ... head for the stone steps ..... i vividly remember passing his clothes line pole 3 times .. even tho theres only one down that end of te garden ... so it seems i was actually crawling round in circles .... took ages and ages and i was SOOOO tired .... next thing i remember is waking up , upside down on the stone steps ... about 5 meters from the shed .... huh ?? it was pitch black HUHHH?? and pissng down with rain ......looked at my watch and it was 1.45 am WTF? i decided i must of been abducted by aliens or something ..... turns out the women thought we were having a shed party .... my mrs had gone home ... and both girls had gone to bed and left us to it !!! then i remembered my tree impersonating mate ..... so i bimbld towards the shed , i can hear him moaning and mumbling inside .... i fall through the door to see him still there... covered in puke...hair sticking up whinging that he had shat himself ... AHHHH HAPPY TIMES

  45. A seed is only as good as the grower who grows it out I would suggest that, as a newbie to growing (have I got that right? Apologies if not....), you take more time looking at the many successful grow diaries here on UK420. Some folk here have been growing with great success for many years. There's older folk than me here, but my first (well busted) efforts were in 1969/70 on Cyprus. Didn't really get to rips till I started indoor growing at the back end of the last century. But I still have loads to learn. Check out Diaries by Owderb, oldtimer1, VRG and a host of others. Once you've sussed stuff like environment and nutrition, you can begin to look for seeds. A great seed will produce great weed, for a great grower! In the hands of a fool, it will yield nowt but feeble crapweed! I look forward to folowing your Diary when you start. Do, please, post a Diary. That's how folks learn and where they garner vital lessons to be learned. I've posted dozens of them, and once I get started up again, will post yet more.
