I keep multiple mother but it’s getting out of hand , I have mothers I am using for clone but most mothers I am just taking cutting and put them in the bin, and it feels like almost a waste,  so I been thinking of doing ptc witch I think would allow me to turn my collection in to library, hoping to build a library of weed genetics like the national history museum,

Unless your tap water is waaay out of range, it's fine.  Just give it a few hours in your grow space to warm up a bit and you're golden.     I agree that you should test your water to see if it's reasonably in range and check your local water stats to determine whether it's hard/soft.  Soft water may have to be supplemented with calcium/magnesium.  But I don't even own a PH pen and I've never checked EC - just saying.
