Just an explanatory note about the name at the top of the document. Please bear with me as it is indeed relevant. One thing I learnt while I was living in Brazil is that Portugal expelled the jews and banished them to Brazil.  To escape persecution (read hide), most, if not all, changed their surnames to avoid their jewish origins. In one of the dumbest moves in history, they chose the names of inanimate objects, trees and animals because, well, no one would be able to tell that they weren't regular folks with regular names. The famous author, Paulo Coellho, is a case in point as his surname means rabbit (it can be any colour, not necessarily white) and the name Pereira, at the top of the quoted document,  means pear tree!   Even though the number of Jews in Brazil is minor, their influence is enormous and jewish monuments, in the form of the menorah for example, are everywhere, especially in Rio de Janeiro.
